The room turned out too be a double-floor maisonette, complete with kitchen and large bedroom. I also love the smell of the local Arvenholz, from the various wooden furniture elements and air fresheners.

Amazing cloister with medieval frescos in a picturesque Swiss mountain town, several excellent restaurants, beautiful hikes nearby, great for cycling and exploring the wonderful region of Switzerland's fourth national language, Romansch.

Pretty village with a lovely church in typical Swiss (...
Pretty village with a lovely church in typical Swiss (fortified) style. It is literally a few steps away from the border with Italy, and I was able to walk with my dog right up to a boundary stone in the middle of a field! It is a fascinating area for linguists - Swiss German, standard German and Rumansch all feature, so you will have a great time if, like me, these things interest you.
The hotel was superbly decorated, the bedrooms were large and airy. Three restaurants locally, not cheap but the quality of the food and the service were great. There were 6 of us touring on motorcycles and an early start with the Umbrail Pass (which links to the Stelvio Pass) being a couple of miles away in the next village meant we had the roads to ourselves before tour buses, motor homes and other motorcycles crowded Stelvio.
Beautifully decorated to retain the historic feel
Very peaceful (no TV, limited WiFi)
Friendly staff
Really excellent cooking, healthy and very tasty; we ate dinner every night, which hadn't been our plan, with fresh herbs from the garden behind the hotel
Breakfast was great too, perfect selection of good quality food: we thought the eggs had unusually "hard shells" which we think is a sign of healthy well-cared for chickens 😊
great location for exploring Val Mustair and exploring the mountains. The valley is well connected by bus. Mustair has multiple cafes and restaurants. the hotel restaurant served a variety of Swiss and seasonal dishes - highly recommended. cosy restaurant frequented by locals, good atmosphere. good quality breakfast. good Wi-Fi and lots of free parking.
It is a friendly family run hotel, and we were treated with courtesy and given excellent tips for excursions. The breakfast was excellent and nicely presented. The room with en suite bathroom was comfortable with everything we needed. Our little dog was welcome and the hotel provided free parking.
Very nice location in Müstair
Very spacious room and very clean/modern interior
Staff was super friendly
Sadly couldn’t enjoy the pool since I was there late and it closed at 8 (no idea why a pool needs to close that early tbh)
Super friendly hosts. We were in Müstair for a weekend road biking and it was great to have the bikes inside the house, use the kitchen for breakfast and dinner. Rooms spacious and comfy in a nice old family house
Hotel Münsterhof and the chalets accompanying are SO comfortable, in a wonderful setting in a beautiful valley and the Meyer family looked after me impeccably. Definitely, this is a hidden gem!
Very clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast. There was even a lockable room for our bicycles. We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Chavalatsch. Thank you!
