We only had one night while travelling through to the Alps.
We only had one night while travelling through to the Alps. We chose the location because it was 4 hrs drive from our one week mountain hotel. I was surprised that anyone can go for a swim.in the lake for free. So good that Hotle/Pizzeria Rotes Hays is only 500m from the shore!

The main building is amazing. A huge old farmhouse turned into a restaurant (which is rarely open nowadays as the chef has retired). The cellar dates from 1214, the upper floors were rebuilt in the 16th century. The hotel rooms are in a small building behind the main building. They are new and very functional.
