What a charming town! The people were kind, and the town was clean. Lots of restaurants to eat at. We went to Mt. Pilatus and the transportation museum. There were other activities we did not get to do that we would have liked to enjoy.
There is a COOP (small grocery store) at the train station where we got some snacks and drinks.

You can cover most of Luzern in a day, it's very nice and pleasant to walk round across the bridges and the castle route to get great aerial views of the lake. I even managed a 1 hour boat trip, although nice was bit expensive for 1 hour.

Luzern is one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. There, you have many possibilities to keep yourself busy. Long walks around the lake, after you have a drink at Art Museum or in any other dozens of cafés and restaurants. Don't skip a visit to Pilatus!
Lucerne is a very expensive place. This hotel is at the lower cost end, so expectations have to be lowered. The hotel is a bit tired, but had free parking. Also free parking across the road and regular buses into town. Because the hotel has a restaurant, which seemed to be used by locals (a good sign), we were able to check-in late (around 9:30). Staff member was great. The only problem is the beautiful church next door.. the bells chime until 11pm and start again at 7am. Fine for us, but welcome to Switzerland!!
There are not many hotels I actually would love to go back to, even when the experience is good, but I want to go back to Hotel Rebstock! The staff were super kind and helpful, the food was incredible, the location was great, and I loved their contemporary art. The design mixed old and new in a perfect Swiss way. You can't beat the beauty of Lucerne, and Hotel Rebstock matches the city's vibe.
The room was very comfortable to stay in. We stayed in a single bedroom for two people. The location is at a walkable distance from the bus stop which makes it very convenient.
The room was spacious and well equipped. The price was reasonable too. And the staff were really sweet and cooperative. 10/10 a very good hotel to stay when in Lucerne.

I thought I made a very good decision to book this Capsule hotel. It was even better than I expected. Everything is very clean and well organized. I especially like the lobby—— very cozy, warm, and well designed. And, as many people mentioned, the staff are amazing! It is the best option for solo-traveler to Lucerne:)
I like the hotel's central location right by Lucerne's main railway station, and superb restaurants within easy walking distance through beautiful streets.
Waldstätterhof's buffet style breakfast is first rate and I'm sorry I didn't try their lunch menu.

We were so pleased we chose Hotel Lucerne. It is well located, we were able to explore the whole city on foot. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. Having the use of a communal area is also a bonus. We would definitely choose Hotel Lucerne again.
Nothing. The hotel was overbooked and so we were offered a room at another hotel. We accepted as it was an upgrade to 4*.
If you are offered the same, then decline. The Grand European hotel in Lucerne is anything but grand. Dated, tired decor, overpriced food and drink. Parking was €25.
Envious location, friendly staff, lake view rooms, adjacent parks (and specially one with the beach), hotel amenities, proximity to city center, train station and main bus stop within 200m from the hotel, etc. It was our best decision to stay in this hotel in Lucerne.
Capsule Chapter Lucerne Hotel is worth it. The building and capsules are really nice, tiny, and cute, but you have everything you need. Also- super clean!!! I did not get the breakfast but I’m sure it’s great. I will definitely come back.
