The hotel was perfect. Fantastic location about 5 minute walk from Interlaken West. Easy to find too. I had a single room with balcony which had a beautiful view of the mountains.

This hotel has excellent parking including a garage which was great for the bike. It was easy to find. It is not close to the centre itself of Interlaken but has its own high street with restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were excellent as was the breakfast. We went in summer and we thought that the best thing to do in Interlaken is to do the boat cruise on the Thundersee. It is the most magnificent lake with Acqua water and villages on the banks of the lake. The scenery is magnificent.
We stayed in Untersee which was a very convenient place to stay. Walking distance to the bus and train.
If you stay in Interlaken you get a resident card which entitles you to free transport in the area.

Interlaken may be OK, but the accommodation along the lake is not to be recommended. In the past I have stayed 3 or 4 times in hotels in Beatenberg up on the hill and we just loved that location. The view from there is fantastic. The view from the lake shore is so-so.

Gorgeous town to be sure, with exquisite views all around. Just a bit too touristy and expensive. We decided last minute to get a room for the night on our way to Montreux from Germany, and wow were we shocked by the hotel prices. But otherwise it was a delight. We don’t regret staying and wish we had an extra day or two. Btw we had a very good meal at the Stadthaus Restaurant. Very solid food and a lovely location. For lodging, I’d avoid the center of town and go slightly off the beaten path. I loved the location where we stayed (Hotel Beausite) And last but not least- don’t miss the park! It’s wonderful. Just across from (gasp) Hooters.
Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay at aarburg hotel, the view from the balcony was just breathtaking! the cafe itself provided the best and freshest breakfast every morning. The staff were very polite and helpful. the location is great! only 5 minute walk to the main strip where all restaurants and shopping are in Interlaken. 10-15 min walk to the main Interlaken ost train station. I would Definitely stay here again if visit Switzerland again :)
Marcel is a very friendly owner. Always make sure the kitchen n toilet is clean. The hostel to the bus stop is only 2 minutes walk. And there is plenty of buses going to Main station Interlaken Ost which is one stop away. We stayed 5 nights and cooked breakfast n dinner there. There is even rice cooker there. The coffee is free for you to drink at all times. We would definitely stay here again if we come visit Switzerland again.
