It's a very lovely hotel, location is perfect right in front of the lake. 10 minutes for a lovely walk from the Hergiswil train station to the hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Oh and it's only 2 stations away to the Alpnachstad Pilatus station.

Hergiswil is a perfect location on the Lake of Lucerne with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
We decided to walk up from Hergiswil to Pilatus which is quite steep, especially after Fräkmümtegg, which is the halfway stop with gondola station and restaurants. This hike is about 5 hours and there are sensational views down to the lake. At the top, there is choice of cable car down to Kriens, followed by a short train journey back to Hergiswil or the"steepest funicular in Europe " down to Alpnachstad, which we chose, Hergiswill is not far from Alpnachstad and a short return journey by boat on the lake is the relaxing way to end the trip.

Very nice village close to Luzern. right on the lake with public beaches and dozens of hiking trails. there is lots to do for couples and families. It's Switzerland, so dining options are expensive for what you get, but you won't starve.
Lakefront with a great indoor pool. Breakfast was excellent with a wide number of choices. Room was very comfortable & we got upgraded to a full lake view room that was awesome. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beautiful veranda & outdoor areas - could not believe the palm trees!!And, amazingly, we were located directly across the lake from the Hotel Furigen (now closed) which is where we stayed 51 years earlier when we first visited the Lucerne area.
This is a hidden gem in the Lucern area. The hotel offers a great view of the Lake from Hergisville. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great and the restaurant is good . The rooms are spacious you can actually walk in them (in some hotels the bed takes up the whole room.) The location is a bit remote but there is a bus that stops a quarter mile from the hotel and f you can walk to train station but its a hilly walk.
The lake view is a must. My parents got the mountain view and it was a view of the parking lot with mountain in the back. The hotel is older but comfortable. The staff was great assisting with check out, suggesting itineraries and helping with calling taxis for the older people in our group. Very helpful! The breakfast good with the some good coffee! We chose the hotel because it was between Luzern and Interlaken.
The checkin and checkout processes were smooth. The place is either newly constructed/renovated and the property is very neat and clean. The interiors are modern and well designed. Migro supermarket is 50m from the property which is amazing. Also the Hergiswill NW train station is 5 minutes walk from the place. On the way to the station you have a beautiful public park on the side of lake which is also worth visiting.
The room we had lift up to it's expectations: the room itself was perfectly furnished, but the most spectaculair was the view on the lake. The facilities were splendid and sufficient. Breakfast was complete and also more than sufficient. All in all a fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel on a fantastic location. Parking facilities were readily available, but on a first come, first serve basis.
The single room with lakeview was just awesome. relatively small, but with excellent views and a little extra hanging chair to soak it all in. The hotel is located near the lake, short walk away from the ferry stop and the train station. So ideal to visit the area and get away from the busy Luzern centre. Nice breakfast, again with possibility to eat and enjoy the view.
good location on hill overlooking Lake Luzerne with Mount Pilatus behind,plenty of parking and if you go down for breakfast early the buffet is lovely with lots of choice including scrambled eggs and smoked salmon,food in restaurant good but rather expensive and hotel and attached restaurant staff whilst friendly seemed to be stretched.
Almost everytthing. The only hassle was the commute between hotel and railway station, even though couple of free bus runs on hourly basis in that area. Special mention of thanks to ms. Beidgette, she was too good. Its more important how humane we are at the end of the day for that full marks to ms. Bridgette.
property was a hidden gem in the middle of the mountains.Property was clean,service outstanding and the view from the balcony is priceless. i would recommend this hotel to anybody with no second thought. me and my husband thought it was one of the best choices during our trip in Switzerland.

Spectacular view of lake and Mt. Pilatus. Clean, comfortable room. 15 minute drive to downtown Lucerne. Nice restaurant at hotel for breakfast and dinner (make reservation on weekend as it’s popular with locals). Friendly staff.
