It was an amazing stay. The room, the facilities, the breakfast, the service, everything was great. But most importantly, the staff here have such a kind heart. My family and I were in a very difficult situation when we arrived at the hotel late night because of the disruptions in our travel. The two gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful and supportive and went extra mile to help us, even though they don’t have to. They saved my day, big credit to them. Amazing view of the lake. Great balcony to sit and watch the boats go by. Good size room. Two minute walk from the station. Quiet location but easy access to Interlaken. Helpful staff who gave a hand with our bags. The usual continental breakfast which was plentiful.

Excellent stay! Carina and Christian we’re brilliant. Room was ready before check in. We arrived two hours early so just wanted to dump our bags and go but Christian checked if the room was ready and it was so he let us check in 2 hours earlier which was amazing. Both very friendly. We had drinks in our room in the evening and they always gave us ice and glass whenever we asked. Only fall back of this location is that the last bus to the hotel in Habkern from Interlaken west is at 7.05pm. If you miss that, the only way to the hotel is a cab which is a 19 min ride but costs 40th f. We got hit so beware. Other than that it is an amazing place to stay with amazing views and you also see the cows parade outside.
Excellent hotel, with a restaurant that far exceeded our expectations, set in a quiet small town in a beautiful valley. Exactly what we were looking for after spending time in the nearby "tourist" areas. Gasthof Bären is the perfect example of the care and attention to detail that come with having the owners actively involved in the day-to-day operation of a hotel. Definitely not the fanciest hotel we've ever stayed at, but possibly the most warm and inviting.
Best view. A beautiful village. Nice hote made by wood. Staff are friendly, outside of the village is awesome. Morning breakfast in outside of the restaurant is also fabulous. It will be your best choice. Bus from Interlaken west at 6 am-7 pm. Every hour one bus. Its take 20 min by bus to come hotel. Last bus 7.33 pm. If u miss bus. Taxi is expensive. Rest of everything is fine.
Very cosy guest house in a very beautiful area of Interlaken. The hotel is located in a village. It's very quiet and the views are amazing. The hotel is very cosy and also has a restaurant that serves some very good German cuisine. An excellent choice if you want to experience Switzerland on a budget. Limited public transport options to the hotel. Last bus to the hotel starts around 19:00.
The breakfast was the best I ever tasted, with still warm fresh bread and so much choice to eat from. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the room had very nice mountain view and a nice road with waterfalls to the hotel. Nice bed and quite area for a good relax sleep. And received a free bus pass for 2 days in Interlaken free travel.

What a lovely hotel, the owners were very welcoming, and served some delicious food in the restaurant....plus the breakfast was very good. It is a wonderful base for the surrounding area and only 5 min drive to Interlaken, and free parking area to rear.....but the usp is the fresh air and village setting.

Great staff, delicious breakfast and lovely little city of Habkern. It was absolutely worth staying here instead of staying in Interlaken as we had a car and could drive easily (but I believe the buses also provided a comfortable connection to the beautiful location in the hills).
Location, view, place every thing was superb. Habkern was the highlight of our stay in Swiss. We had a wonderful stay. The place was neat, clean, kitchen essentials were ideal, Katherine was helpful with laundry, complete value for money for a family of 4.
