The location was perfect and the staff were great. Manager Joulia was fantastic in helping us with our short stay there.

Chantal was very generous with her time and "voluntarily" helped us with parking fine problem and she fixed the problem for us. We are very grateful for that. The room was charming, however it is in a very old building so the room was a bit small, as expected. But is in the heart of old town, great location.

Very nice appartment, with a lot of space, very well furnished with a beautiful terrasse. It is clearly shaped as an appartment for the the needs of families going to the neighbouring ski station. It wasn't our case, but we really appreciated having breakfast in the terrasse with its views to the astonishing sight of the Alps, before going for a nice hike in the forest around, then heading to the nearby beuatiful Gruyere for a great visit and lunch.
Offering a garden and garden view, Charming chalet with panoramic view and private garage in Gruyère is set in Gruyères, 46 km from Train station Montreux and 32 km from Rochers de Naye.

A challenge to access the apartment (instructions only in French) but the apartment was great - very clean and comfortable. Secure parking, very close to the centre of town, walking distance to the centre and lots of restaurants.
Directly linked via an underground hallway to the Gruyère Spa, Hotel Cailler offers you charming country-style rooms and fine cuisine.

I return time and time again to this beautiful hotel. I highly recommend it. It checks all the boxes: welcoming, clean and comfortable, very nice staff, very good restaurants and easy access to some water fun.

Tiny Gruyères is better suited for a daytime visit than an overnight stay. Food options are pricey and few between, with limited menus and no activities after dark. Better options for your stay would probably be in nearby Bulles.

Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day.
I took a lovely hike to Broc on a trail found in the app, AllTrails. This was very worthwhile.

Although very small, Gruyères is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The fondue is not to be missed at any restaurant, and both the castle and the Giger museum and bar are a must for any visiter.

Great location, easy parking. The room was clean.
Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around.
Not very good value for money in my opinion

Picturesque old town, pleasant castle, traditional cheese based menu’s available at multiple restaurants. Very pastoral and serene countryside with views of valleys and mountains. Helicopter sightseeing flight from Gruyere airport with SwissHelicopter was fantastic (defined packages available but can in-effect charter the helicopter by the minute to customise your experience... cheaper than you might expect!). The pilot was fabulous, and the views wonderful.

Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured...
Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured in a morning or afternoon. We had a fondue dinner at Hotel de Ville and breakfast at Auberge de la Halle - both highly recommended. Parking is outside of the village and all is accessible on foot, equivalent in size to 2-3 large city blocks. Especially liked the castle and Giger bar (did not tour the museum).
Way too hot in room. Muggy. No air conditioning. Couldn't open window because the second we did tons of flies came in. No air conditioning. (Some sort of electric fans should've automatically been provided if no air conditioning, being that it was the middle of summer.) Pillows like flat as pancakes. Bedding was clean I guess, but "tired".
The positives were that Gruyeres is such a gorgeous town. And the woodwork along the walls and ceiling in our room was lovely.
Perfect location in the middle of everything in Gruyères. Very hospitable owners and lovely place with a terrace and small kitchen. Stand up shower which we love (no getting in and out of a tub bath!). We used the terrace a lot and really enjoyed it. Overall, much nicer than staying in any hotel for the space and terrace alone. We would definitely stay here again when in Gruyères.
A very cosy hotel, very central, very warm. The room was clean, with enough space for two people and for a short stay. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, just a small snack, and we enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly, they allowed us to check in earlier and on departure they kept our luggage for us. A pleasant experience, which I would definitely recommend.
The location was incredible; so beautiful! lt is within the town fortified by castle walls and close to both the castle and the Maison de Gruyères. The Maison Cailler was only an hour walk away. The room was also very close to some beautiful nature views. Chantal was very welcoming and accomodating and speaks English well
Rooms were really comfortable and lovely. It was nice to stay in a hotel that seemed authentic for the location. Also, we had our older parents with us, and so it was nice to have a good restaurant on site so it was easy for dinner. It is right on the main street of Gruyere, so overall great for the weekend.
We enjoyed staying at a historical building in the right center of Gruyères, the room was cozy and decorated as a typical Swiss chalet, very clean and comfy. Loved the views to the main fountain from the room.
As a guest you also get 10% off at the souvenir shop and the restaurant.
This was an incredibly cozy place to stay with an incredible view. The beds were a bit squeaky, but they were quarto super comfy. Staff was incredibly polite and able to assist us with being American. Would love to stay here again if we ever go back to Gruyères.
All of it. Our first time to Switzeland and we were greeted by a lovely Julia who ensured us to treat the hotel like home. All the staff were gracious and couldn't do enough for us. The area was amazing. The whole trip exceeded our expectations.
We loved the location right in the middle of the old town with beautiful scenery out of every window. The rooms had old wooden beams and the bed was a nice queen size. Each room had a separate bathroom with a nice Swiss-made hair dryer.
the staff were great, very good location with private parking, walking distance to the Gruyeres' castle and nice hiking routes. the room was comfy, clean and tidy.
wellness suite with gym, sauna and steam room.
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff who were really helpful. Great vegetarian food! Beautiful room with stunning view over the mountains. Fell in love with this hotel and the location, would love to come back
This was my second time staying at this hotel. I returned to this hotel because it is good. They never disappoint. Everything was in order and went smoothly even though we were visiting during high season.
Great location, very charming little hotel near the village and the view from the dining room is absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent.
Very nice big room. Large shower. Had tea and coffee. Right in the old town. Close to everything. The walk to Gruyeres to see the cheese making took about 15 to 20 mins.
Very nice staff members! The hotel is really cosey and makes you feel at home already. But the staff makes it even better. I would go there again for sure 5*
