Hotel Spinne Grindelwald was the perfect place for us to stay for our hiking and sightseeing few days. It is centrally located, with a bus stop out the front or a five minute walk to the train. The hotel is very welcoming, comfortable and relaxing and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We had a spectacular view from our balcony (we could sit out there for ages). The heated infinity pool and sauna is perfect after a big day on the mountain, and the restaurant, with it's great menu and amazing view, is hard to go past! We highly recommend a stay here.

Breakfast was good had everything I needed as a vegetarian, limited choice for my son thought they would have had sausages with hot Breakfast. Staff were very friendly and courteous helped out if you needed them . Whole hotel was absolutely spotless, staff are very well trained.

Beautiful room with a balcony with a view of the mountain, The room was spacious for a single. The breakfast was lovely and you had a large selcetion to choose from. The hosts were nice and helpful giving advice on attractions in the area. The location is excellant only a short walk from the station and it is a very good base for travelling to various villages and cities near to Gridelwald. I liked the green meadows surrounding the hotel and was good for relaxtion.

I loved everything about this hotel. Everything was exceptional. We liked that it was at the quieter end of town. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view from the balcony. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner here one evening and the food and service was excellent. It felt really special. It feels like a family hotel and all of the spaces are full of comfort. Loved the paintings and decor.

Grindelwald is located in a picturesque mountainside...
Grindelwald is located in a picturesque mountainside conveniently located very close to the train station and multiple attractions. Bebbi’s was a fun dining experience. The tram ride to Pfingstegg was unique, the car itself old fashioned in decor and even had alpine music playing. Unfortunately there was construction ongoing at the train station while we were there.

One of the most stunning locations we have been to.
One of the most stunning locations we have been to. We purchased the 3 day pass allowing us to travel by train, bus, cable care and boat, up and down the different locations all from Grindelwald. We were there for the start of summer but take your thermals 😂. Harder Klum and Top of Europe were the other two standout locations. If the weather is not so good use the web cams for the locations to see what is the best option for that day. Takeaway Pizza from 191 was the best pizza we had there. Our hotel hosts were fantastic !!!

I thank myself for staying in Grindelwald rather than Interlaken. It is a much more peaceful and lovely village, surrounded by mountains, wildflowers, and chalets. I enjoyed strolling through the neighborhood every day. Cooking in the chalet with your loved ones and sharing food with the view will be a great memory for you.

Beautiful views of the Swiss green and the snow mountains alike. Highly recommend Jungfraujoch , Grindelwald first, brienz lake cruise in specific. Do know that you would have to pay local tax in addition but can use the hotel card to claim some discount if you’re shopping / eating something .

Beautiful place, even just by stepping outside the room you'll be surround by beautiful snowy mountains. There is sufficient eateries, shops and supermarkets to cater to visitor needs. Getting around is breezy as there is frequent bus during the day. At night you could just walk around as the area is not too large. Getting into and out of Grindelwald is convenient via train. From Grindelwald you can access many interesting locations within 30 minutes: Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald-First, station to jungfraujoch. Even Interlaken city is less than one hour away by train. Please allocate enough time to experience winter sports in Grindewald

Before visiting Grindelwald I had only seen pictures of it in Spring and Summer so I was a bit apprehensive when I booked but it far exceeded our expectations. Its a wonderful place to stay in and we could've stayed here much longer.
Close to the bahnhof (5-6min walk), reasonable sized rooms, good sound insulation in the windows. We had two interconnected rooms as a family, and these face the street rather than the Eiger (I knew this when booking). It can get a bit noisy in the evening on the street, but the windows were well insulated.
The hotel provides a simple decent breakfast with the room (not many in Switzerland do) and the staff are lovely.
Good value for Grindelwald.
The Sunstar Hotel and Spa in the beautiful Swiss town of Grindelwald was situated about 750 metres uphill from the train station, and across the road from the First Gondola. The view from our room was spectacular, and the lounge and bar area was very inviting and comfortable with a huge fireplace. Breakfast was excellent and the pool and spa area also excellent. Loved our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it.
We notify the hotel that we are only able to check in after 8pm. They prepared and envelope with our name with the keys and guest cards. The staff even stayed back to ensure that we receive the check in instructions. The hotel is right beside the Grindelwald Firstbahn cable lift which brings one up to Grindelwald First. About 10 minutes walk from Grindelwald Train station. The view outside the hotel was great.
The location was lovely and the view of the mountain view room was wonderful. The price considering that it was in Grindelwald was also quite reasonable. When we asked if we could borrow a water heater for some tea in the room, they gladly lent us one. The walk from the hotel to the Terminal was also pretty and not too long! Super nice and quiet location.

The hotel is seconds from the ski area. Literally right out the front door. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was very family friendly. View from our room was what we envisioned from a Swiss chalet. Bus service from hotel to downtown Grindelwald comes 4x times an hours and only minutes away. Will definitely go again.
Good location, only one bus stop away from the main train station. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Easy access to the Grindelwald terminal (the terminal for the gondola of the Eiger express) and also close to the cable car for Grindelwald First station. Our room had a very good view over looking the mountain.
The location is very excellent in the center of Grindelwald, and the apartment is very suitable for families and very safe. No one can enter and exit except with a private key for residents only. There is a private car park for each resident and it is very safe. The check in and check out done by Glacier Hotel.
The hotel provides free transfers from train station v.v. Location is quite strategic with walking distance to bus/train station, supermarket and restaurants. Grindelwald First cable car station just within 3-5 minutes walks. Breakfast was really good - the Lady serving at restaurant was super friendly.
Amazing place to stay in Grindelwald. Family owned and run hotel, very authentic exterior and interior. Location is brilliant in a short distance from crowds, at the same time being on the main street. It can’t get enough of the spectacular view to the mountains while enjoying glass of wine on a balcony.
A beautiful 2 nights in Grindelwald. The hotel was a 30 second walk from the train station which made not having a car very easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful. They even had a sauna you could use for free with a reservation which was easy to make.
Great property at the far end of Grindelwald. We had a Mountain View and were upgraded upon arrival to a small apartment style setup. We’re so thankful for that!
Bus service was free with a tourist card and the bus stop was one minute from the hotel.
It wasn't really Pinte as we got upgraded to a more luxury hotel of their chain. Guess Pinte is undergoing some renovation. Anyways, it's an upgrade. Overall nice location, good view from the lobby, unfortunately not my room.
This hotel is in the most stunning location of Grindelwald, and it is surrounded by snow mountains. In my whole life, I have never seen such a beautiful location. I 100% recommend this hotel for your vacations.
