Wonderful location and view (if you get a lakeside room). This place is small, only a handful of rooms. We went on a Monday and Tuesday, so were the only guests, meaning we could get a lakeside room.

Not sure if it is the weather or time of the year. Not as exicting as i imagined. Interlaken would be a better stop to coummune between places.

A nice place for the travellers want to stay away from the...
A nice place for the travellers want to stay away from the busy cities like interlaken and Lucerne. Never the less well connected with both of places with a travel time of 30 minutes to 1 Hour by train. It’s must visit city alongwith the Rothorn Kulm. The lake is very nice and you can find food mart (COOP) very near to Brienz station along with local restaurants there.

Brienz is a small town on the shore of the Brienzersee that in October was a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. It has a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The Rothornbahn will take you to the top of the Brienzer Rothorn with is fabulous views of the Alps. There are a lot of hiking trails that are easily accessible from Brienz. You can also take the boat across the lake to hike around Giessbach falls and enjoy the terrasse bar at the Grandhotel. We enjoyed eating at Tea Room Walz (which had a great vegan option) and Berghaus Planap (a bit of a hike). An outstanding selection of cheeses can be found at Chas Fritz. We also just enjoyed walking along the lake on the Brienzer Uferweg.

There is so much to do in the area of Brienz.
There is so much to do in the area of Brienz. Aareschlucht, Ballenberg, Gelmerbahn, Brienzer Rothorn, boat trip to Giessbach and furniculaire to Grandhotel Giessbach are just a few outings.
Brienz offers plenty of good accommodation and eating places.
It is located on the Brienzer lake and easily accessible by car, train, boat and bus.

True gem of Switzerland. A wonderful wood carving town by the lake side. Great food and culture here. Perfect place for walks. If you need to chill out without an agenda and do your own thing , this is a good option to explore. Safe to travel with loved ones. Locals are respectful and friendly. Also a good place to make a base and travel to other cantons of the country for day trips via ferry , train and bus (highly recommend taking a Swiss Pass) You can also take a dip in the lake and drink alpine water straight from the tap as the locals themselves do and recommend.

Amazingly beautiful - scenery is fantastic and swimming in the lake is wonderful (we visited in July so water was lovely and refreshing during the heatwave!). Plenty to see and do and train journeys are unbelievably scenic nearby
The location and hotel was dreamy. Like stepping into “La Belle Epoch” The piano layer at the bar added to the timeless ambience. Then the buffet breakfast catered for all tastes with exceptional freshness and variety of produce. Dining at the restaurant was welcoming and warm, offering great local cuisine. Overall it was an extraordinary experience in a wonderful alpine setting with majestic views of the lake, waterfalls and surrounding mountains🤩 A big Thank you to the exceptional staff👏👏👏
A few steps from Lake Brienz. The apartment was nice and cosy. The hosts are really friendly and was a nice gesture to leave some useful stuff already in the kitchen to use (coffee, oil etc). This was really helpful as the supermarket was closed by the time we arrived.
This property is closer to the Brienz West station, so stop over there instead of the main station, and you can walk to the apt in 2-3 minutes.
Clean and comfortable loft house. Located near to Brienz train station and within walking distance to the beautiful lake.
The kitchen was well-equipped, even provided condiments and baking paper.
Also appreciate the complimentary Merci chocolate and grape juice!

The view is just stunning. From the balcony i can see the tranquil lake Brienz and mountains also train passes by. It closes to the station yet it is quiet. A well equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea catching the morning sun comes out is wonderful, also the view when the sun sets in

2 minute walk to the brienz train station, which is also next to a restaurant and grocery store. This hotel also has a shuttle bus to and from the property when arriving and leaving for your luggage (use it because the hills up are a WORKOUT). beautiful views from all sides of the property.
The place is amazing and clean and in a very nice location 24 minutes driving to Interlaken 5 minutes to the lake, the nature around the place is unbelievable especially when looking from the balcony!!

The view from the balcony is great. The lake Brienz is exceptional and so beautiful. Interlaken is not far. I slept really well. All rooms have balconies with wonderful views. That's the main reason to stay here.

The location was very nice. The price was also good for Switzerland. The lake is very beautiful on a sunny day. They have table tennis, table football, paddle boards etc.
The best part of the hotel is the view, you can see the lake from above and it is stunning. There is a parking lot in the hotel yard. The bed in the room was comfy.
