Tofino Resort + Marina is the ideal place to experience Tofino, Canada’s famous west coast surfing destination. Tofino is so much more than surfing though.

Tofino is a quiet coastal town yet it has an active vibrant vibe. Its a great place to go to chill out and relax. Some excellent restaurants and local amenities. Its a great place for beaches and local wildlife tours.

We rented e-bikes for a short time and road along some biking paths within the Pacific Rim Park. We had one of the best dinners at Shelter restaurant - food was delicious (mussels fettuccine, flat iron steak, and fruit crumble for desert). We also enjoyed breakfast/brunch in Ucluelet at Heartwood Kitchen.

Not first timer there, but always enjoy to get to Tofino.
Not first timer there, but always enjoy to get to Tofino. Saw changes over time, some very positive. Specially trails, signage, washrooms around popular beaches, bike lanes. It’s more crowded now for sure. But there is always limitless scenery to observe and enjoy by everyone. Drive is the only deterrent for us to get there. Interesting, but doing it for 5th or 6th time can be rather a chore. Will explore flying in option for next visit.

It is a unique town with a lot of interesting shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Lots of sightseeing tours are available for those interested on being out on the ocean. Caveat: book early as spots fill up fast. The whole coastline from Tofino to Ucluelet is a birdwatcher's and photographer's paradise: expansive beaches perfect for low-tide walking/wading; white surf pounding rocky inlets; serene inner harbor views; lush rain forests. Surfing is a popular sport here. A wonderful, well-kept bike/walking path extends from Tofino to Ucluelet, so bring your own or hit the bike rental kiosks and enjoy the day.

A hot day in Tofino is 20C in the heart of summer, but when there is no sun or often morning marine fog it could drop to 10C. Always bring warm clothing and a wind jacket. Unbelievable amounts of pure nature though!

Tofino is becoming a rich person location.
Tofino is becoming a rich person location. If you want a big beach for your family I would divert to Parksville instead. Less hassel getting there.
If you want to surf, then I suppose your stuck with his cost.
Great location that is no more than a 10 minute walk to everything in Tofino. Beautiful views from the hotel. The food at 1909 was okay, a little overpriced for what you get in my opinion though. Convenient and easy booking of excursions through the hotel. Laundry on site is great, but there’s only 1 washer and dryer so be prepared to wait for a turn.
Great hotel, the location is amazing, especially to see the sunset. Our suite was great, very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
It's a short drive to Tofino town and there are lots of amenities close by you can walk to at the McKenzie beach resort.
Would 100% recommend and love to return one day.
Best possible location. Really glad I booked here instead of other places that had caught my eye online. If location is the top priority this is the best.
