Stratford is my favourite place in the world to visit!

Stratford is my favourite place in the world to visit! This latest trip was built around seeing a musical (the fantastic Something Rotten!) but I love this magical town for so much more than what the four amazing theatres offer. Stratford has the best restaurants - and the biggest variety of them - I've ever encountered. It offers fantastic choices of accommodations at all price levels. I features gorgeous gardens and parklands throughout, with excellent walking, hiking, and cycling trails. There are fascinating museums and galleries. The one-of-a-kind shops contain many wonderful treasures. The calibre of Stratford Festival productions are second to none. And I really love is being able to walk just about anywhere I want to go! I cannot recommend the peace, natural beauty, and cultural excellence of Stratford enough.

A pleasant small town even in winter with enjoyable seasonal lights along the river and downtown. A relaxed friendly atmosphere in all the stores and restaurants/cafes we visited. Interesting older buildings in some of the local neighbourhoods.

Stratford isn't just about the theatre from April to October, far from it ! Lots of things to do and see such as 2 symphony orchestras, the choir and the Chef school is a great place to dine from October to March.

Lively town with the Theater Festival being the main driver of activity. The THe Theater Festival is world class and always worth a visit if in the vicinity. Lots of coffee shops, restaurant to service a knowledgeable clientele. Lots of hotels, B&B in the area.

I liked Stratford Festival, itself, friendly staff, gardens around, and naturally I greatly enjoyed shows. I liked little place, called Soup Surreal, very cozy, Stratford Thai Cuisine, and Bowl something, sorry, can not remember now. I travelled easy all across town with city bus, drivers very friendly and helpful. I do not think of anything, I would avoid.

It was so charming and well kept. We loved the sunroom with the tea and vintage love seat, and french doors. Looking out and seeing the river was great to wake up to. It was a conveniently short walk to lots of cafes and restaurants and shops, yet still quiet enough for us. I found it very affordable for what we got, and checkin instructions were very thorough and helped alot. Parking was made convenient and wasn't overpriced in my opinion. (Some hotels charge like $30 a day or add it into the fee).

The location couldn’t be more perfect—centrally located and yet a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of commercial Stratford. Amanda and John are lovely hosts, gifted at anticipating needs. John’s breakfasts are artful and delicious! The house has been lovingly restored and thoughtfully appointed, with comfortable spaces to relax and eye-catching art. Our room was airy and welcoming. The deck and the old lilac blooming outside our window were special treats.

Hosts were engaging, friendly and great to talk to. Our breakfast was not only delicious and filling, it was an opportunity for us to have a fun conversation with the owners. Laughter, good food, and good company!! A great way to start the day. B&B was quiet and well located, a short drive from downtown Stratford. Rooms were spacious and well equipped, with a little hospitality area for common use. Nice touch! We'll be back.

Excellent location, walking distance to many areas of interest, close to bars and restaurants and theatre. Apartment was cozy and welcoming, very clean, nicely decorated, loved that we had the flexibility to prepare some of our own food on site. Lovely space for a couple of days in Stratford. Free parking very nearby and a nice neighbourhood feel to the area.

Location was excellent with theatre, restaurants and downtown Stratford a 10 minute walk away. This was not listed as a B&B accommodation; the room provided a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and dishes. The hosts provided coffee and tea, bottled water, fruit and a welcoming bottle of wine - above and beyond expectations!

The rooms were nicely decorated and the 2 hotels were close to everything we enjoy about Stratford - the river, the garden the restaurants downtown. Even though they placed us in two separate hotels (we would have prefered rooms in the same hotel), they were very close (only a block apart) so it wasn't a problem.

coming into Stratford Ontario, we were greeted by the manager Brandan, who gave us perfect instructions to get to the inn! The Thomas Edison Inn is very charming and filled with a lovely energy much like Stratford itself. We loved our stay, the room was the best. We highly recommend a stay!
