The hotel was historic. There was a common room where there was a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, which was really nice to have. The bathroom had a nice shower and good towels. There was room to park on the street in front of our hotel. We had beautiful views of the mountains from our bedroom window and the common rooms (kitchen and livingroom). The staff were very nice, when they were on site.

Stewart is pretty and quaint. Unfortunately it is way out of the way when traveling to any desti nation other than Stewart. 40 miles to the nearest main rout intersection. Construction delays in and out weren't helpful as well.

Small and idyllic town in north west BC, just by the Alaskan border. You can’t get enough of the serenity and spectacular views with the surrounding snow capped Alaskan mountains. Definitely worth a stay in Stewart.

stewart is a very small, quiet town, with two restaurants and two good food stores, which is all you really need.
the side trip to hyder makes it a uniqe experience: we saw a grisly bear and the road to the glacier is nearly overwhelming in it's size and starkness of the mountains.
