The motel was easy to find. It is located directly at the highway. The nice view over the St. Lawrence is impressive. The bed was very good and it was quiet. A nice breakfast was offered by the host. A very well kept area for staying outside with chairs and a table is offered. It is not located too far from the ferry to Riviere du Loup.
Built in 1870, this historical home in Saint-Siméon faces Rivière Noire and Fleuve Saint-Laurent. It offers beach access and an outdoor terrace by the water.

We booked the suite. It was very spacious with great views. It was well equipped. We paid a little extra for the breakfast which was excellent. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location on the banks of the river.
This elegantly-decorated Saint-Simeon motel is located in Quebec’s scenic Charlevoix region. Free Wi-Fi access is available in rooms. The guest rooms at Motel Cofotel also have cable TV.

A little disappointed in the location. No view of the harbour/beach. But it was roomy, clean and comfortable. And management went above and beyond in helping us.
Boasting garden views, Chalet Mikua, 6 p. Spa, billard, Forêt & Nature features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 19 km from Park les Sources Joyeuses de la Malbaie.
A pearl little town. Beautiful landscape with breathtaking views. Motel Cofotel was very welcoming and offered a good value for money. The rooms are big and comfortable and there is a nice coffee house nearby. 5 thumbs up

Just a drive through after the ferry but would not recommend using booking for reservations. We got a room - supposedly the last in town - at a hotel - Cofotel - that wasn't worth staying at, and booking too a review on it I did not send, so if you are staying in Saint Simeon, do not use booking! Also, they kept posting rooms in Riviere du loup - a ferry ride across the St. Lawrence. I feel sorry for Saint Simeon as they are not a fancy town, but Booking and other tourist mentions do not make it look very inviting. At this time of year, not many restaurants are open or have good ratings.

The town is tiny, but near the ferry and very picturesque with abundant water views. There are very few restaurants and a tiny grocery store, so options are limited for dining out, but the grocery store is well-stocked with pre-made meals and sandwiches. Location is midway between La Malbaie and Tadoussac, so it is easy to explore both areas.

St Simeon is a lovely tiny town on the St Lawrence River.
St Simeon is a lovely tiny town on the St Lawrence River. It has a ferry that crosses over to the south shore of the St Lawrence River to Riviere du Loup. We stayed 2 blocks from the ferry terminal. There is a waterfront park there with picnic tables, a public washroom, and water access if you have your own kayaks or paddle boards. The local garage fixed our flat tire without any waiting. We just showed up and they fixed it right away. Thank you. Across the street from the ferry terminal is a cafe coffee shop. They make great coffees and have baked treats as well as sandwiches and wraps. We ate supper at the Restaurant sur Mer, a quick walk from the Cofotel Hotel ( we were given a free upgrade) where we were staying. Every table has a view of the St Lawrence. There were no vegan options here so we ate a vegetable soup and garden salad and fries. We were so grateful for the kindness and generosity of the people here: from the garage Savard that fixed our flat tire in record time, to the free upgrade at the Cofotel hotel, thank you. We will be back.

We were there in October and most of the restaurants in the town were closed. We could only find one, and it closed at 7:30 pm. But we were there only for one night and didn't have time to check out any attractions, beyond the ferry.

Our hostess was the sweetest and most accommodating.
Our hostess was the sweetest and most accommodating. We enjoyed the little river that runs past the inn while sitting in on the lawn and catching up on our day. St. Anne's Basilica is located just south of Saint-Simeon and it is worth a visit! Beautiful complex of buildings and extraordinary tile work. The devotion of French Catholics is evident in their architecture.
Great location on the river with a great view from our upper King room balcony. The hotel is older but the rooms were up to date, clean with lots of attention to detail. We had a Nespresso coffee maker, a good fridge with freezer and good selection of English TV. There is no elevator. We used this hotel as a base for our tour of the Saguenay western shore. Continental breakfast provided in a small seating area. Helpful owner spoke very good English.
The owners are extremely pleasant and welcoming.
The building and room were in excellent condition and everything was perfect.
Early in the morning, the owner was drying off condensation from chairs and tables down by the river so guests could take their breakfast down to eat with a great view over the St Lawrence and tributary stream.
We'd love to go back and stay longer at this hotel/motel
It’s useful if you want to take the first ferry across the St. Lawrence. Otherwise I’m would be looking for something else. It is literally a one minute walk from the hotel to the head of the ferry queue.
We chose the hotel because it is close to the ferry. Suitable for those who need to leave early in the morning. The room is very clean. Quiet hotel and comfortable beds
