Lady receptionist with the lavender jacket gave excellent service. Hotel and room were very nice and clean.

This a very good hotel in an old french villa, an unique experience if you want to stay in Montreal. French breakfast is awesome and owners are the most welcoming people we met. Close to the city center/Mont Royal and short ride to the botanical garden.

Rooms were comfortable. Nespresso machine and small fridge in room were nice to have. Very small outdoor pool area nice for a quick dip and aquatic exercise. Water temp kept about 86' ( I like my pool around 87' and this was just a bit cooler than that). We were given a late check out time of 12pm upon asking. In a central area close to many restaurants and shopping. Quick to get Uber from here to go anywhere. I got a good deal on the rooms here in comparison to other similar hotels (possibly because I booked fairly far in advance). I was paying for 2 other couples and wanted a fairly good hotel at a good price and this worked. I'm rather fussy so normally I would stay at the Four Seasons or the Fairmont if it was just my husband and I. This was ok.
Renting ebikes was the greatest way to explore the canals. Also loved the Jean Talon market.

The Breakfast @ the Darlington was fine but a bit overpriced & underwhelming @$32.00 CDN per plate. The staff & the facilities (including the Darlington) were top tier; gracious, knowledgeable & accommodating.
We paid for the location (which was central & easy accessibility to the downtown core & Metro Stations); which is reflected in the price. I have to say that overall we enjoyed our stay.
