Jodi the hostess was amazing! She even gave us her cell # to call at anytime. Breakfast was delicious and fast and a full breakfast included with homemade bread and homemade raspberry jam! Rooms were quaint and rustic - timeless!!

We enjoyed the trails for walking, very easy to get around town, restaurants were limited, but food was very good in all the ones we ate at. Good place for vacation destination or stop over along the Trans Canada Highway.

We visited the Bonnechere cave, McDougall Mill Museum the Diefenbunker in Carp and travelled to Foymount to see the old radar station. Enjoyed the Bonnechere cave, and McDougall Mill Museum the most..
After reading many bad reviews I was not expecting much but chose this property for the value compared to the overpriced hotels in Ottawa. Be careful what you read as this property was better than expected. Nothing wrong with this place. Our room was great (401). Only issue was the tub did not drain very fast and could use a thorough cleaning in the corners and along the base boards. I reported the tub issue and front desk was getting maintenance to take care of this. Otherwise everything else was perfect.
stayed here on 2 different occasions. and on both occasions the hotel rooms were beyond disgusting. The rooms are not fully cleaned during check out. it’s very unsanitary. highly disappointed
The building was disgusting, the door to go into the hotel did not, and was not able to close….therefore, the second floor was exposed to people just walking in from the street, guest or not!
No breakfast offered. Location very hard to find - I could see the hotel but took a while to figure how to get to it. Sign was hidden by a larger sign. Also no street signs.
How unkempt the outside of the hotel was. The fact the restaurant and pool were both permanently closed but the hotel site on booking.com did not reflect this.
