Check in was friendly and efficient. Looking around it all sparkled it was so clean.
The surprise came when we entered the room. So spacious, clean and a modern bath room.
We were glad to see the clean floor. There was no carpet thus less chance of germs and insects to hide.
The breakfast was the best you find at hotels/motels of the same class as the Quality Inn.

most of the old city was not accessible. It wouldn't take a lot of work for businesses to build a wheelchair ramp out of wood. It would bring in so many more people. I was very disappointed in the fact that after travelling so far my husband couldn't go into most places. Also there was so much construction going on that parking was impossible. We gave up trying to find a place to park .

Enjoyable town with with a mix of old and new.
Enjoyable town with with a mix of old and new. The old city being the highlight, albeit touristy. Plenty of restaurants in old Quebec City, but parts of town can get overrun by tourists at certain times. The general areas had lots of parks, tons of bike lanes and miles of paths for for running or walking. Two to three days is probably more than enough for most people, but if you're more active and take advantage of the outdoors or just like to chill, I could see staying longer.

Quebec is a very nice city, that merits a visit.
Quebec is a very nice city, that merits a visit. We especially appreciated the historical town center, that is quite lively even though we did visit out of the main tourist season, and is a nice to go to for a drink.
Also the Montmorency falls are worth a visit (just a bus-ride from the city center).
Other than that, the city is not massively big, and 3-4 days to visit is sufficient, in our view.
For whale watching tours we would pick a place somewhat up north, since Quebec city is quite far some distance away.

In our 3 1/2-day stay, we walked 20 miles.
In our 3 1/2-day stay, we walked 20 miles. It is a walking city, but often the walking can be strenuous as QC is built on a high hill. Taxis and tours buses abound for the visitor who is unable or unwilling to walk.
QC presents itself in two layers to the visitor. The first is the energy one expeiences walking streets filled with happy people and occasionally, mobs of school kids making their way home after school in the afternoon. The second and primal layer is the craftsmanship and skill shown in the intricate stone buildings, walls, streets and fortifications.
A friend says QC is as close as one can get to a visit to France by car.

Beautiful city, easy to walk around.
Beautiful city, easy to walk around. Boat trip is recommended as is taking the bus to Montmorency Falls. Allow at least 90 minutes if buying a bus ticket online as it takes that amount of time to activate
Uber taxis are much more expensive than the local taxis as they are unable to use bus/taxi line

The architecture was breathtaking.
The architecture was breathtaking. We felt we were in many parts of Europe. Montmorency Falls are a must see, absolutely spectacular. Notre Dame Basillica another amazing place to see. The guided tour of Chateau Frontenac is not to be missed, a really informative, beautiful experience. Take the funicular to Le Petit Champlain and soak in the oldest street in Quebec. The Parmesan restaurant, Bistro Hortus and Cafe Buade are wonderful places to eat. We will hold this trip in our hearts forever.
I do enjoy staying at this hotel. Though the room size is small, it's suitable for solo-trip. The kitchen is large enough for you to take a coffee and have a free breakfast with eggs and pancakes. The staff is nice and helpful. The room is clean and quiet. Another biggest advantage is it closes to the old town, you just need to walk 5 minutes to get to every place you want! I really recommend this hotel if you are travelling alone and not really mind of the limited room space.
Best hotel for the money in Quebec City for sure, location is perfect, a few minute to the old town and close to the other places to visit in the city. Rooms are really comfortable and clean, staff are so helpful and the swimming pool is fantastic for children (even some cool decoration). Having the revolving restaurant le ciel in the hotel is another bonus. Le ciel was excellent all round, fantastic food, service and views, and they we brilliant with the 3 kids we brought.
My wife and I had an amazing time at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City. The hotel is located in the heart of Old Quebec and offers stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay.
The apartment is in an old house in the Old Quebec area and within walking distance to the main Old Town where the tourists visit. Access to the highway was also quite easy. Overnight parking is in front of the apartment building and there is in and out privilege. The beds were comfortable. The living room had a lot of natural light and the kitchen was well equipped.
Brilliant location, stunning view!
The view from our room was phenomenal. Cornered large room overlooking St Lawrence River, Château Frontenac, Citadelle and Parliament House. The Hilton is only a few minutes away from the Old Town, and it is a lovely walk.
The view was one of the highlights of our stay in Québec City.
The apartment in Old Town Quebec is beautiful and the location would be very hard to beat. Can walk to everything you might want to do in Old Quebec and owner (and his mother) had extra ideas to share. They were very responsive via text and Sacha started the communication as soon as we booked.
A fine hotel at the edge of the old town and near Abraham's Plains. It's an old house, athmospheric, contordet, nice. We found a fireplace in our room, in winter that's certainly romantic. Delicious breakfast with good bakeries, healthy fruits and a good coffee. Service is find and useful
Fabulous hotel directly opposite the Musée des Beaux Arts, and very near Avenue Cartier with great bars and restaurants. Very helpful staff, a comfortable and quiet basement room. Good and reasonably priced ($12) breakfast. Around 20 minutes walk into the old town.
The room had a toaster oven, a keurig, fridge and dishwasher. The hotel was within walking distance from most of the sights we wanted to explore in Old town. The accommodations were good value for the $, and comfortable for a party of two. We would stay here again.
Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. I enjoyed sitting in the quiet inner terrace. Great position in the Old Port on a street with good restaurants and galleries. Access to the old town literally round the corner. We had a lovely room with great facilities.
Perfect location in old town. Very walkable to anything. The staff was very helpful with everything we needed. Even though this hotel was right in the middle of bustling streets, it was extremely quiet which was excellent.
Very elegant hotel...WONDERFUL staff and the best location to walk and enjoy the citadel and the beautiful old town of Quebec in a very slow leisurely enjoyable time frame. So glad we stayed here!!!

Fantastic location in old town, very cute old hotel, friendly owner, I had the attic room w shared bathroom and could see the river and Chateau Frontenac from the window! Great for one person.
It was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in old Quebec. This location worked out great for the festival as you literally walked back to the hotel after the festival.
