Everything was so thoughtfully done, with a comprehensive guide to the property and everything you could want. We had a power outage during our stay but the instructions showed us exactly what to do and the owner provided a range of power banks and lights to tide us over.

The hut was rustic, comfortable, and incredibly clean. I don’t know what it was - hut was not aesthetically pleasing - but I loved being in it.

Location was good, quiet except privacy was disrupted by the painters
It is a small quaint area. Don't expect the amenities of a city. They have one little store that has food, snacks and alcohol but selection is limited. Some of the services were not open due to the time of year. The beaches are remarkable and well looked after.

The town is beautiful and the surrounding beaches and parks are outstanding!
If you're planning an off-season visit, be aware that places don't open on regular hours or days. If you plan on eating in (at your stay) bring food from Victoria/Duncan etc. The Market has limited supplies and the staff was not too friendly.
The evening staff at Coastal Kitchen Cafe seemed upset that we came in 50 mins to closing, and treated us like they had better things to do. Food was overpriced and not a good value.

Great place for relaxing and getting in contact with nature.
Be aware that the small town has only one little grocery store with limited open hours, also few options of restaurants, but an awesome place to relax.

Small town for a first time visit and mostly just one night stay. I'd come back in the summer time to do more outdoor activities. It's easy to get around Port Renfrew and everyone is friendly.

We drove to Port Renfrew from Duncan.
We drove to Port Renfrew from Duncan. Make sure you stop at the Tourist Information building and talk to a helpful staff person. We were given a map of the Marine Circle Route that was extremely helpful.
The town is quaint and has breathtaking views. We had the delicious seafood chowder twice at the Renfrew Pub (excellent free wifi). There is little to no cell service, but wifi is surprisingly good.
The cottage was absolutely perfect for a getaway to Port Renfrew and the Pacific Rim/Juan de Fuca area. We could walk to several eateries. The view from both rooms was beautiful. The unit has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and parking pad. The smart TV was easy to operate. The wifi worked well. Communication about check-in was clear and contained the wifi info as well so we could use it as soon as we arrived. The host was incredibly easy to reach and went out of her way to help out with a couple questions.
Port Renfrew is wild, it is great, and it is small. The cottage is located at the center of Port Renfrew, even though it may not mean much due to the town's size. But it is very close to the restaurants. The cottage is within a large compound so it feels safe, parking is easy, right in front of the cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped, which makes it very easy to cook. It matters when only 2 restaurants are open, and only until 7pm. Host is good with communication.
Beautiful location overlooking the ocean with wide open views through the trees; great mix of shade and sun on the patio; very well equipped cottage; peaceful and quiet; only a couple of minutes to the grocery store, cafe, and pub; plus lots of outdoor hiking, exploring etc nearby (which we unfortunately did not do due to record-breaking heatwave at the time, but the cottage was a lovely place to relax and "chill"). Outstanding collection of books to enjoy while there. We will definitely stay there again.
The place is in a wonderful, peaceful location, a short walk or drive away from a lot of beautiful hikes and great spots such as Botanical Beach. Going to Sooke for whale watching is also more than feasible. The hotel is also quite secluded so you should be able to get good nights' rest, and it has a safe / private space to park your car. This place is the definition of "getting what you pay for" and I don't mean that in a bad way. For what we paid, we did not feel ripped off.
Absolutely amazing. I do not have any complain about this place. This is possibly one of the best (if not the best) place to stay in Port Renfrew. I have stayed in other places but this is definitely the best price/quality wise. It felt so relaxing being in the patio with the garden heater on and using the grill. The bed and the sofa/bed were very good, and the cabin was fully equiped. Honestly I am looking forward to stay here again in my next trip to Port Renfrew
We loved almost everything!! We have stayed at Wild Renfrew many times and are working our way through the different accommodations!
Loved the view and the cottage was lovely! It was so new that we could smell it when we walked in!
Always love the excellent customer service are very responsive to little hiccups that happen and we would never post about those because the staff is so awesome!
Staff was all very friendly and lovely. I casually mentioned during check in we were celebrating my birthday and the front desk person came out with a gift basket! I hadn’t expected anything, It was just so thoughtful and really made my day! Great location, beautiful view from our room and balcony. Good food from the restaurant, pub and cafe. We ate at all three and enjoyed all of them.
Very cosy and private cabin
Well stocked kitchen so cooked a few evenings
Loved the outdoor fire pit and great to chill out in front of a campfire with a glass of red wine after a long day walking
Great location and near to all restaurants in Port Renfrew and many day walks
The owner is very helpful and went out of her way to make our stay amazing
Tilby's Rainbow cottage in Port Renfrew was incredible. So clean and comfortable, and a well stocked, functional kitchen. The water view is amazing and we used the bbq each night. Great spot for hiking in the Port Renfrew area. Short drive to Botanical Beach and Avatar Grove and Lonely Doug.
The cabin was comfortable and I had a great one night's stay; the bathrooms were convenient and clean. The WiFi didn't reach the cabins and there is no cell service in Port Renfrew, so something to be aware of.
great location, tucked into the forest with easy access from the road. close to all major points of interest in Port Renfrew. Everything was well maintained daily and I always felt safe and cozy being there.
Very nice and clean cottage. Close to restaurants and adventures make it a great place for families leisure travel. There are so many interesting things to do in Port Renfrew, good for all ages!
Kind of a middle ground between camping and staying at the hotel. The hut just has a bed and a small table inside, and that's pretty much it. Ok, for a night or two.
