Great city. Hotel accomodations very good, clean and friendly. Great buffet breakfast included in stay. Only thing annoying was the heater in room...was quite noisy while running. Would wake me each time it kicked-in. Overall, would return and use this facility.

I have been coming to Port Elgin for years because of the beach and atmosphere. We ate our for all meals and we were surprised by the poor service and attitude of the restaurant staff. I wanted to believe it was because of Covid but to be honest the restaurants were not busy.

Beautiful Town, great beaches.
Beautiful Town, great beaches. Beware of Geese droppings on paths and the Seagulls can be brutal- don’t feed them.Great trails . Paths along Lake are second to none. Sunsets are unbelievable. Southampton and Sauble Beach very close . Restaurant’s are hit and miss. Provincial parks close by

A couple of blocks of the main street strip are nice, but we wish we had driven 10 more kms and stayed at/visited the lovely town of Southhampton. Port Elgin beach is being rebuilt so it is really not worth visiting. Go 10 kms up and visit the Southhampton beach instead

City was great! Many options of restaurants and coffee shops. Walmart, Dollorama and Rexal in the Main Street. McDonald’s and Tim Hortons also in the Main Street. The beach was great. Clean water and not crowded. I really liked Port Elgin. I will be back for sure.
Nice staff ... Very helpful.... Helped with air conditioner in room as weather had changed....it was Canada Day when we came .... Great Hot tub and pool area very clean..... Amazing room .....very comfortable....great breakfast included in the price....would come again when it is not busy to enjoy the place and pool and hot tub to relax....
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The check-in/check-out process was quick and smooth.
The hotel didn’t appear to be very busy, so it was nice and quiet.
The pool was nice and clean and kept at a good temperature.
We even washed our laundry on site for a low cost.
Our favourite place to stay in Port Elgin..... Very comfortable , amazing place to stay.....coffee bar available 24 hours and front desk open 24 hours .....pool and hot tub is great .... To have all year round .....
The previous 2 visits I was in the newer section of the hotel which I liked, this trip I was in the older section which I didn't care for. They said that the cheaper price that I paid was for the older section.
The location is excellent, close to Port Elgin beach and there was a BBQ with picnic area/kitchen and stove which our family enjoyed. We also liked that it was a separate house so we had our privacy.
The hotel is old, it was clean but the room smell bad, like mold, the ac is very noise. The staff was nice. It has a good location and is safe but they need some improvements.
