The room and bathroom were pristine and beautifully decorated. It was well-equipped with reasonably priced snacks and drinks. The blinds fit the windows so there was not a crack of light so sleeping was perfect in their very comfortable beds.

The space was cool, and nicely decorated. It was nice to be offered a glass of rose on arrival. Staff were wonderful (I'm sorry, I can't remember the young man who managed the place, he was great) and the everything was very clean and the toiletry products were lovely. The fire pit area was so nice... I wish I had more time to hang out there. Great spot!! (oh, and loved the pillows, so soft, and having a balcony was a treat)

Very elegant room and decor, and most importantly, a very comfortable and supportive mattress! We drove all the way from Toronto to Montreal and stayed in five hotels and this one was the one I slept the best.
Also this hotel offers breakfast in bed which is great for traveling or vacationing! The staff was very good communicating and nice. the hotel location is a three minute walk to a local dt street. It was very good experience.

The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef.
The restaurant at Merrill House has an amazing chef. We had an outstanding dinner and breakfast. Food was like music in my mouth. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Inn is a beautiful old mansion with cool modern art. Pictor has a lot to offer and so close to many attractions. Would recommend lake on the mountain, sandbanks and waupoos winery.

To be honest, there were not much restaurant so, the price is a bit higher and difficult to find the place during the pick time.
There is one steak restaurant recommended by hotel, I had horrible experience.
The price is very high comparing the portion of the food and unfriendly staffs. (I prefer the KEG)
For the next time, I don't want to make the hotel reservation in Picton. I would suggest to go to Kingston instead.

It's a nice place. Nice and clean.
It's a nice place. Nice and clean. It's an old house, so the floors squeak. Not a big deal. It is a self check in and check out. I know there were "owners" there, we saw them when we arrived, but that was it. The phone left as contact did not answer. Emails about early check in were not replied. We checked in about 2 ours early and it was fine. Simple room (yellow rrom - twin bed and private bathroom) but they didn't mention the bathroom was in the hall, not in the room.

We enjoyed Picton. Recommend Royal Hotel for a great meal!
We enjoyed Picton. Recommend Royal Hotel for a great meal! Our lodging was far less than we expected and what we paid for, however. Electrical and fire hazards were among our concerns. There should be a way for our concerns (as explained in more detail in n the review of the Stone Carriage House - Barouche Suite) to be registered so that others who come after us don’t experience the same problems.

Such a cute town with many boutiques and restaurants!
Such a cute town with many boutiques and restaurants! Houses are beautiful to look at, walk around and take photos! Cute park nearby to picnic or sit and watch boats! Town is near by foot or car. Would go back!
Great restaurants like the Spanish one and yummy ice cream at Slickers!
The apartment has great location only a couple of minutes of the main street in Picton, close to wide variety of restaurants, stores and movie theater. Park and matina are nearby. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Kitchen is very well equipped. Decor and furnishings work really well with this period building. Nice sitting area outside with bbq for use. The landlord provided us with lots of good suggestions and always was quick to reply. We are definitely planning to go back.
We needed a place to sleep as our family was camping at Sandbanks and we needed accommodation close by....the room was great although dated and no cleaning services due to Covid so I would have expected a lower rate for the service provided. There was no hot water in the evening and the power went out for a few hours later in the evening.....We had good sleeps and was as close to Sandbanks as you could get for a hotel....so for us it worked fine.
Our suite was beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and it is dedicated parking. The location was perfect 5 minute walk from all the great restaurants in Picton and a short drive from other attractions in Prince Edward County. Also it’s in a tree lined neighborhood of other beautiful historic homes. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything thing you need to make a meal or just a cup of tea.
Loved everything from the central location, easy parking, lovely staff, glamorous decor, absolute cleanliness, total comfort, and relaxed ambience. These guys are really getting it right. Whilst we didn’t use it the mini bar was well stocked and totally fairly priced. Picton is a cute town with nice restaurants so we’ll definitely return, and when we do it’ll definitely be to this hotel.
Everything was perfect. Location is hard to beat. The house is superb, there's everything you need. Very close to the grocery store and many great restaurants. Parking spot. A short 20 min ride from Sandbanks. Free pass to Sandbanks is given by Susan the hostess. She was great, very helpful and answered my many questions from the beggining. I would love to go back there next year!
Exceptional location 3 km from the Sandbanks Provincial Park. This BnB is a peaceful country retreat. The host is really friendly and warm and has great pieces of advice about visiting PEC. Bonus, the estate even has a forest for a little hike, some sheeps and hens, and a growing orchard. And yeah, breakfast is delicious!
New home, with modern appliances and abundant room. New neighborhood so still some construction on the street but the house was beautiful and very well set up. Had a great stay. 20 minute walk to downtown, so no need to drive if exploring the local establishments. A great home to work from or explore the area.
I liked that this property is right on the beach and that there is a restaurant too. It was a good price as well and good location, close to Sandbanks park. Our room was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well as we stayed in hot summer weather.
Great historic little bed and breakfast, very convenient location in Picton. Rooms were very nice with comfortable beds and kept extremely clean. Restaurants for which we received breakfast vouchers were delicious. Great value for PEC. Will be back!
The spaciousness of the suite
shower stall could have been bigger with the large bathroom space
shower pressure just right
lots of comfy chairs
the 2 balconies
courteous reception and wait staff
This place was so adorable and perfectly clean! It’s a 2 minute drive to downtown picton and you can see the water from the living room! The hosts were lovely and left us delicious ginger cake :)
Beautiful suites with every we needed.
Great location within walking distance to Main Street Picton for dining and shopping. Nice garden sitting area to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine.
Great location just in Picton. We had a suite which was perfect as my husband sleeps before I do and was able to not bother him with lights and TV. Breakfast was delicious!
Merrill House is beautiful inside and out. it’s very conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Picton. The service is exceptional and the food delicious.
the area is beautiful and close to the quaint downtown shops. it was spotless, the ac made it the perfect temperature, and it was cosy and comfortable.
