Good experience visiting sites including Trent University where our daughter graduated from.
The weather was cold and windy so we did NOT get to the zoo.
Down town is clean and there are good eateries.

Peterborough has beautiful green spaces and lots of hiking trials. The University offers many cultural events open to the public (i.e. Powwow). Plus the campus is beautiful even in the winter months. Also, there are many shopping options and not far to Oshawa or Go Train to Toronto.

It has been many years since I’ve been to Peterborough and I was shocked at the degradation over large part of the downtown… Graffiti and lots of homeless with obvious signs of prolific drug use. In three days I was there I never saw a single police officer. I did not feel safe in the downtown. It’s no longer the beautiful city I remember and would never consider retiring there.

I all ready gave my big review, but one thing I noticed later was this star reward for each night you stay of which I Have lost out on as staff did not inform me about. The only negative to my trip. Also reviewing all the things to see and do which the area has plenty of. Was not a part of this trip. I live in peterborough and this stay was a birthday getaway.
We have stayed here several times and have always been pleased with staff, location, cleanliness, etc. a couple of things this last visit (circumstantial, not hotels fault), made this stay average. When checking out we shared our concerns and staff reduced our bill to encourage us to come back. We definitely will. We felt heard and appreciated the attempt to make things better.
So there is no breakfast but there is a Tim Hortons 100 metres from the hotel. The room was probably one of the cleanest ive ever been in for a hotel. No microwave in the room but common area has one. Location is good, close to hwy 115. The staff were super polite. I paid 76 dollars a night and i would have to say it was worth it. Especially in 2023.

This is the cleanest, most comfortable 2 star hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very clean. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated and it was sparkling. The bed was great. Everything about the place exceeded my expectations.
Lovely hotel and its location. Variety of local animals passing by the property. Nice touch with the gazebos giving a nice view of the Otonabee river.

Friendly staff, easy check-in/out. Rooms are always comfortable, quiet, and it's very cost-effective. The Quality Inn is my go-to place to stay whenever I come to Peterborough, and would recommend it to anyone.
Nice hotel by the canal with a river view and plenty of wildlife believe it or not… And only a kilometre from all the action downtown… Will definitely stay here again.
This hotel wonderful in dining room area, bar,but area around hotel let's it down , I see Peterborough dumb down for the dollar and it's going to cost this hotel .
