The restaurant was out of this world. The owners were absolutely fabulous. The food was super. I would recommend this facility to anyone that goes to Peace River. They were all very welcoming.

They had to let us in our own room when we got there and anytime we needed in the front desk had to let us in. The front desk lady was not very friendly. Way to expensive for 1 night 200 dollars crazy. The room was not that clean either
The natural scenery is beautiful. The old downtown is somewhat run-down, but still with a lot of services. Some time ago, I lived nearby for 10 years, so I know a lot of people in the area and was there to visit as many of them as possible. The town was pretty much as expected. I was a little disappointed in the accommodations.

I was only travelling through as on a road trip to another destination. However, Peace River was a pleasant area to spend a night's rest and awhile looking around. I wish I would have had more time there, as it seemed like a nice place to visit. Local restaurant I ate at was great food at reasonable prices. Easy to get around main areas of town and felt safe. Nice community park areas.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has free snacks and cold & hot drinks, including bread and butter etc., 24/7. The bedding is very clean. The king sized bed is very comfortable. This hotel is the best for our whole trip to Yellowknife.

The views of the river valley in the fall are spectacular!
The views of the river valley in the fall are spectacular! The colours are amazing. It’s a small town but has great amenities. Wildlife is abundant, right in town. Lots of great history in the area, too. Cecil Thompson Park just east of town is a wonderful park, then five minutes to 12ft Davis gravesite for some of the most beautiful views.

Peace River is situated in a beautiful valley and is a great place to visit if you are in northern Alberta in the summer. Has a good size Wal Mart and Canadian Tire and other good shopping. There is no better place further north of PR in Alberta.

DO NOT STAY AT THE NOVA HOTEL
I do believe that I am still answering my first reservation which was changed from a suite to 2 queen beds and a stay until the 28 instead of the 29th but it was an excellent stay. It was quiet for sleeping.
My first breakfast surprised me by giving me 7 pieces of bacon instead of the usual 3🤗🤗🤗. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. The checkout lady was very pleasant as well. I do not expect that I will be driving to Peace River again but I will certainly be good advertisement for Chateaux Nova. 🤗
Non-smoking rooms are not as advertised. Room STUNK like a dirty ashtray. I don’t think their cleaners were aware that we have been experiencing a pandemic. Surfaces were not cleaned properly. The bed was exceptionally comfy!!! The staff was a nice guy - clearly run off his feet with being the only staff available 24/7. Very disappointed the pool was empty - primary reason this hotel was chosen.
I like the location, close to the highway and visible from the highway. The rooms are nice and very comfortable. There are many food choices around the hotel and a gas station next door. It is very convenient.
The hotel is well located, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are warm and attentive. It was the coldest weather on my way and the air conditioning was warm. I'm gonna stay here again.
A hidden gem in Peace River! From the clean and comfortable suite to the exceptionally friendly and welcoming host, everything was perfect. Without question will stay there again.
You can see the hotel from the highway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and clean lobby and room. The breakfast was included in our stay and was absolutely delicious!!
it was convenient to the highway and the road trip I was traveling to and from Edmonton to high-level Alberta. The front desk staff was very pleasant and tried to be helpful.
