The room was excellent. The view, beds and pillows were awesome. I actually would love to know what brand of pillows they were so I could buy some! The coffee was good too.

The suite is beautifully decorated. The bed is good and firm and it has a full kitchen. We also like to see the farm animals and feed them with grass. It is close to Sauble Beach, but without the hassle. This is our second visit, and we will return asap
Boasting an outdoor pool and private beach area, Waterview on the Bay is located on Georgian Bay.

The room was rustic but comfortable. The view from picture window overlooking the bay is beautiful. We did not use the pool. The parklike waterfront area is lovely. The quiet location is very pleasant. Proximity to the Bruce trail is a great feature.
I grew up and lived there. I left the last time 25 years ago and it has deteriorated noticeably since then. Not a great place to visit and I wouldn't want to live there now. Use the by-pass if you can to travel around. If you are hungry, eat in Rockford.

Owen Sound is a lovely community.
Owen Sound is a lovely community. Everyone I encountered was very nice and people chat to you and smile. I am not sure of what there is to do in Owen Sound in January but I went to Harrison Park for a walk and then to Inglis Falls for pictures. There are lots of trails in the area.. As for dining out there are many good restaurants to chose from.

We chose Georgian Bay for a long w/e just because we had read about small vineries around the area in a brochure from LCBO and wanted to taste some wines from here. Two out of three were fully booked, so we ended up at The Roost Wine Co., a family-owned, small (just 5 ha) vinery, where the tasting experience is highly recommended.
So, going back to Owen Sound, we picked it simply because we found this value-for-money motel (Diamond) which we bet on and eventually we have decided it was a good choice all in one. Georgian Bay - as much as we saw of it - is wonderful, not because of its nature and landscapes (esp. beginning of Oct.), but also because its small towns, which have this flavour of an old era and are a joy to discover.
However, reading about the history of Owen Sound on wikipedia, with the piquant & juicy :)) stories of "The Bucket of Blood" and the madam sending her girls (from a brothel) to lure the sailors in; that was delightful itself.

An OK town, Billy Bishop museum is worth a short visit and Inglis Falls offer some nice walking trails ($10 parking). It is at the base of the Bruce Peninsula, allowing for access to a number of lovely spots. We did enjoy Sizzling restaurants in downtown area.

It's a nice little town on the water.
It's a nice little town on the water. We were there for a mid-week funeral so we weren't able to really take advantage of the local attractions. The country-side is very pretty in and around the town and there's lots of local markets to explore.
Value for money. The rooms while dated were clean as was the bathroom. Compared to the Best Western where we stayed last time in Owen Sound it was a much better value for money. At the Best Western they did not make up our rooms during the stay due to covid Yet in Toronto at the Don Valley Hotel they did, as they did at the Owen Sound Inn I think Best Western Owen Sound is charging a lot of money for no service.
I love everything about the Owen Sound Inn! Always such a friendly/familiar place to stay when I’m up visiting my family! The staff is always so friendly, and so welcoming. We stay here every time we go, other than camping season. This stay we had 2 rooms for all of us, and they made it very easy for us to be directly across the hall from one another.
The room was recently renovated and sparkling clean! The bed was comfy, the location was super convenient and still quiet! The staff went above and beyond for us. My car needed a boost and they were there to help without asking! Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Best spot in Owen Sound for the value. Don't look further. Book here!
Very clean room as was the hotel itself.
Very comfortable bed with nice, soft sheets.
Nice continental breakfast. Bacon and egg muffins were offered. Tasty!
Very friendly front desk staff; Amy & Matthew were extremely friendly, helpful and professional.
Easy access, new installations, very comfortable room.TV, fridge and coffee maker inside the room and a BBQ just outside with picnic tables if you want to spend the time outside. The hotel is only 25min from Sauble Beach and about 1h from Tobermory.
Older hotel, but very clean. Nice little kitchenette with a good fridge and even 2 burner stove!
The location is close enough to everything, but set back from the road, and very quiet.
Staff were very pleasant & friendly.
The room was relatively clean though I did find a tick in the washroom.
Also, I googled pet friendly owen sound and this place came up as to why we booked, but when we arrived, the manager gave us a hassle over our dogs.
Large rooms, lady at reception very friendly. Toilet stopped filling up with water when flushed. Man on duty came to room and after bringing some supplies to replace had fixed in no time.
Our number 1 motel in Owen Sound.
The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. Loved the clean and extra large towels by the jaquzzi. Also loved the 4 post bed. Liked the rug in front of the jaquzzi have been other hotels were they don't have that.
Hotel Location was amazing, however there was not any lightening and set up for nights in yard & shore side.
Indeed we could not do any thing at night around hotel, and for sure during the day we had other plans
If going to Tobermory and thereabouts, I would suggest staying in Sauble Beach or perhaps even Wiarton and save yourselves the driving. Really nothing to do in Owen Sound so no need to situate yourselves there
Under the Covid Restrictions, well done. Location was great. So very Happy that we were able to have our pet puppy stay with us. Many hotel accommodations do not allow pets.
The location was really beautiful as it was on the water - the hotel restaurant had a really gorgeous view. The rooms were clean and comfortable with working A/C.
