The food and breakfast are excellent. The staff are excellent. The location is amazing on Lake Joseph. Only discussion item is that this place is "quaint". This is an old lodge that could use some upgrades. For some people this would be a wonderful retreat that is cute and has a lot of character. For others, it is perhaps more expensive than what they can deliver. If find it very comfortable and very cheerful. It is a bit tired and that is the big question in how people are going to relate to this. Other issue related to cost is that the price of the room is quite different than what you end up paying. This is because Canada and the province tack on so many surcharges and TOT taxes that the cost of the room increases significantly. It would be helpful when booking to try to understand exactly what the final cost might be versus just the price of the room.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The outdoors were very beautiful with the lake and trees.
Handicapped parking is too limited near the hotel. You need more spots.
We ate at the Chophouse that was lovely.
It was nice in an evening to sit by the fireplace.
Because I have long hair I appreciated the generous size tubes of shampoo/conditioner and the pure soap unlike most other hotels.we only stayed the one night but would have liked to stay longer to enjoy some of the perks of the area. But thank you for the lovely experience
I remembered pulling up and the view of the hotel was magical, love the room, truly catered to my families needs.
The down fall was due to Covid-19 a lot of the in door amenities were close. Will revisit in the summer time.
- The ambiance of the hotel
- The Italian restaurant (waiters were professional)
- Busperson and Reception were welcoming and attentive
- Spacious room with a fire place and stove were optimal
The location is great with amazing views. Rooms and other hotel facilities were well maintained. Lots of things to do with kids. We really enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool.
