Great island for exploring and enjoying nature.
Great island for exploring and enjoying nature. Many parks to visit with exceptional views. Wonderful friendly, locals. We thoroughly enjoyed the local brewery tucked into the forest and the sustainable clothing store near the resort. We even enjoyed the ferry home on the new Salish Heron.

The people that we met on the island were so friendly.
The people that we met on the island were so friendly. At first we thought what are we doing to do for 3 days but we filled all our time. There is much to see and do including walks, the lighthouse, the Japanese Gardens and the park beside it with horseshoe pits and mini putting green. We loved the galleries and little shops and the wonderful book store. I would recommend the Bakery and Groove Kitchen as great places to grab some food and the restaurant at Mayne Island Resort. It is a beautiful island.

So many pretty little bays to explore.
So many pretty little bays to explore. The island is small and laid back and quiet. They have a couple of nice restaurants on the island but make sure to get reservations. A few sandy beaches. Great kayaking but watch the tides and get advice where to go and when. The Bistro at Mayne Island Resort is awesome - great views of the water and a large patio. Same with the Springwater cafe - good food - nice people and more pub vibe. So fun to watch the ferries come and go past the Springwater cafe as it is right in Active pass. We climbed Mount Parke almost 2 hours round trip - need to be in decent shape to do this but people of all ages were on the path. It is very worth the view when you reach the top.
Amazing views from the patio of Bennett Bay. The villa we stayed in was very comfortable. Staff at the resort and restaurant were friendly and accommodating. Mayne Island is a great place to relax and unwind!
There was no breakfast prvovided. Guests were on their own and on Mondays, no other cafes or restaurants are open. I did like my dinners served at the Mayne Island Resort.
