Mattawa is my home town and I have always loved it.
Mattawa is my home town and I have always loved it. It is a small town where the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers meet. The people are very friendly and all the restaurants in the town are top notch. In the summer, they have Voyageur Days and the little, quiet town comes to life with many vendors, lots of things to do and live bands. The town is swamped with tourists.

Mattawa is a quaint little town that borders Quebec. The views of the Ottawa River are spectacular. It’s quiet but we love it. Very handy if you are camping nearby with a Home Hardware, an LCBO, two grocery stores and a Giant Tiger. Variety stores and gas stations too. The locals are all very friendly. Eat at Myrts! You won’t be disappointed. Tai and Chinese food are both great too. Valois restaurant has the best blueberry pie.
Sitting at the town dock and watching the sunset is priceless.

Mattawa is set in wonderful scenery, at the juncture of the Mattawa and Ottawa Rivers. Across the Ottawa loom the majestic Laurentians. Great hiking opportunities, fishing, hunting. The ski hill is the highest in Ontario.
Several good restaurants and hotels. The Voyageur Inn and Thai restaurant on Main street are my favourites.
Owners Gary and Nav were exceptional! They both were Kind, Courteous and Helpful!
I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the quiet beautiful location!
The price was reasonable and not over priced.
My family have been coming to the Welcome Inn in Mattawa for years and they recommended these accommodations. I am so glad they did! I will certainly be returning! Thank you Gary and Nav!
I am from the area originally and have known this hotel/restaurant all my life. It always meets more than my expectations. I didn't have breakfast there, this time, but the food is always delicious and the view is break-taking (looking over the Ottawa River). The servings are generous and the service is friendly.
It was close to the beach. They had a small beach (full of small rocks. Not easy to walk on- bring water shoes). It was close to downtown. 15 minute walk ( we went for a festival). Restaurant was good. Close by within hotel. Had issues with maintenance and they came quickly.
The breakfast provided far exceeded the packed meal of other hotels during our travels ( juice, yogurt, boiled egg, apple, banana and a muffin). The king bed was very comfortable. This was our second stay at the Le Voyageur Inn and will definitely return.
The staff are polite and very welcoming.
The room was very clean .
We enjoyed the food as well from the Thai restaurant located in the hotel .

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in a super clean room. There is great Thai food in the on-site restaurant, and the breakfast plate to go was really good. Really nice hotel with easy walkability throughout the town of Mattawa.
Very clean and quiet - only a 5 minute drive into Mattawa where there is a Tim Horton's and grocery store. Beds were very comfortable. Pleasant surroundings as the motel is situated on a lake.
Rick and Colleen were exceptional hosts! They made us feel very welcome right from the start. Everything about our stay; the food, conversations and accommodations, was enjoyable.
Super clean Inn with a fantastic Thai restaurant. The Inn is perfectly located so that you can walk everywhere in Mattawa.
