Easy to find with parking right outside our King room. The staff were very polite and helpful and were able to communicate with us in English as we do not speak French!
Room was super clean, had a lovely comfortable bed and the bathroom was perfect.
We asked about doing laundry as we had been driving for quite a few days and they directed us to the immaculately clean laundry with free washing powder and a load only cost $2.00!
Breakfast was included and it was adequate for our needs and the lady in charge most helpful!
We had dinner in the dining room/ restaurant and it was the best dinner we had eaten in 10 days! The seafood was amazing and the size of the meal very generous for a reasonable price. Highly recommend this hotel plus the restaurant.

Our stay was far too short to enable us to see much of the area. However, what we noticed as we drove in was the cleanliness and pride of ownership. Our choice to stay at Bruin Oceane was well rewarded. The proprieter, accomodations and breakfast were phenomenal. We had dinner at The Bunker. The service and food were very good and the sunset over the water was spectacular.

Maybe we stay again there, if we don't fid a similar location with better price...

A beautiful place, right by the beach, people are friendly. The restaurants are very good. The sunset viewed on the bench swings facing the water is a dream everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime! The best seafood restaurant is a little place that opened a few months ago and it is called Le Bistro du Capitaine. I would highly recommend it. Getting around is a breeze :)
Great location view of the ocean, great room, clean and spacious. Included breakfast was full buffet, everything you could possibly want. Ate dinner in the resto bar, good food and drink, and above all the waiter was bilingual, my family and I are bilingual but english at home. This waiter immediately spoke English to us and gave us great service. I have stayed in many hotels from Matane to Rimouski and this is my favorite. I will be back and I will be telling all my friends.
The sea view from the room was amazing, watching the sunrise was magnificent. The restaurant was excellent. The pool is small but nice. The hot tub has a view over the seafront too, as does the sauna. Outdoor pool wasn't open yet when I was there but looked nice. Hotel is walking distance from the centre of Matane.
Nothing about this hotel was good. Very dirty. Did NOT sleep there, asked to cancel the 2 other nights. They wouldnt reimburse for the 1st night that we did NOT stay there. Were in the room maybe 15 mins. It was way too dirty to stay.
Hope to be reimbursed for the 3 nights since we did NOT stay there.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was beautiful and convenient for taking the ferry, but we did not see the river at all from our room, which was in a separate building across the street from the main hotel.
The location is excellent and close to multiple services. This was my second time staying here, and the breakfast is super good and really well presented. The hosts are total sweethearts and I always try to stay here when I come to Matane.
We had what I would call a suite on the whole top floor of the home with an incredible spa tub and large shower. Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating with good recommendations for what to see and where to eat in Matane.

The hotel has an extraordinary location right on the ocean. We slept with the sliding door open listening to pounding surf. It's truly a beach front property. Restaurant had great food and views.
The location was perfect after a long day of driving with a long ferry crossing. The hotel overlooks a beautiful beach, and the restaurant was perfect for a lazy breakfast while enjoying the view.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the Matane ferry terminal. My room was away from the main road that goes in front of the hotel and was very quiet.
