The cottage was cozy and quiet with beautiful views of the lake and countryside. We were in the area for the bancroft gemboree and to go rockhounding. There are many collecting sites nearby as well as geo- caching and other outdoor activities. The owners are attentive to guests needs and are very friendly.

The property was located on a highway. The room had a new door and the bathroom had been re done and new flooring throughout. NO carpet. The bed was very comfortable.

We loved the ease of access to the lake, and the equipment that was supplied. Close to Bancroft

I have thought long about reviewing this hotel. And what to say.
Very strange place -not in keeping with the rustic environment of the areas I think they are trying to attract the weekend yuppies from the cities with their electric car charging points - seems to have a link up with Porsche. The spa area and upmarket restaurant seemed incongruous with the surroundings.
There is a lot of building work going on - building houses for holidaymakers which will be sold at a vast price (close to C$1million!).
Set in Bancroft, Footprints Resort offers 4-star accommodation with a garden. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

Location was great, plenty of activities , trails watercraft and bikes all included,
Splendid location near to Haliburton. This very special cottage is in a superb setting. My family and I had a wonderful stay. We visited from England so we really appreciated how well-equipped and homely it was. Even had a canoe and kayak to use. Life jackets not provided but we found these easily at the shopping mall in Haliburton - unisex adult for about $48 each which we felt gave really good value for hours of kayaking. Great deck, pontoon, outdoor furniture, fire pit, stylish and thoughtful touches everywhere. Host provided lots of information about the local amenities. Wish we could have stayed longer. Made memories that will stay with our family a lifetime.

The setting is lovely but their service at breakfast was shocking and sooo expensive. They were so focussed on selling properties to e built so no services were available. Only the massage therapist was pleasant. Very disappointed.furthermore it’s so far from restaurants and grocery stores.

A beautiful part of Ontario with fabulous lakes and the lovely town of Bancroft. This cute town has some terrific thrift stores, restaurants, an art gallery, a theatre and super friendly people. We saw a play and had a terrific meal at the Eagles Nest. Definitely worth a visit!

Poor location, difficult access to the water, charge $50 for my cat to stay outside the rooms even though we didn’t even stay in the place. We only stayed there for 2 hours. We wasted more than $400 for this mistake.
