Stayed a night here travelling through Estevan en route to Saskatoon from the US. Absolute hidden gem of a place conveniently located right off the highway. Cost-effective and affordable, the room was cozy, clean, quiet, and had everything you need. Not to mention how friendly the owners are.
Certainly surpassed my expectations for a budget motel. Definitely recommend this place if you're travelling through the area.
To say that Estevan is a friendly city where everyone is...
To say that Estevan is a friendly city where everyone is welcome is most likely a lie. I have to be honest in saying that if I were a person of colour I would probably feel very uncomfortable in this city. There’s not much going on here unless you like really unnecessarily high trucks and loud exhausts. Other than that, I would avoid Estevan. There’s no culture here.

I found it odd that although it was a handicap room, a bath tub rather than a shower unit was provided. I have a real difficulty stepping in to a tub and it proved very difficult for me.
Sunday brunch at the Tower restauraunt was very good.

Estevan is becoming a nicer place to visit over the past few...
Estevan is becoming a nicer place to visit over the past few years. There are a number of nice places to stay, restaurants to eat at, grocery stores to buy supplies at. This is appreciated. It's the first place you come to coming out of North Dakota, often after a long day of traveling, and it's now a comfortable place to come to.
Our first visit to Estevan about 20 years ago left a sour taste in our mouths. It always pleases us to see towns improving themselves for the inhabitants and visitors.
I had no major expectations. So it was relatively easy for those to be met. A good restaurant is just out your door, Additional parking is at the rear of the building. It shares that parking lot with the restaurant and bar. Hotel was quiet and comfortable and there were no noisy patrons. Air conditioner/room heater worked well although because the dials were worn, it took a while to figure out the settings and what they were for and how to adjust them. For the price of the room, in this day and age, a person cannot expect too much.
I recently stayed at the Microtel in Estevan, and overall, it provided a decent place to sleep in the middle of nowhere.
On the positive side, the hotel was nice and clean, which is always a plus. I appreciated the fact that breakfast was included in the price, offering a convenient start to the day. The presence of a clean pool with a water slide was a definite hit among the kids, adding an enjoyable element to our stay.

Facility is undergoing some renovations, transitioning to a Ramada and it is looking great (hopefully the nightly rates remain close to the Hotel Estevan offerings). Breakfast area and selection had improved, the lobby area very inviting and cozy looking. Beds very comfortable.
The presentation seemed welcoming - the front desk staff when I checked in and out was awesome, room very nice, well presented. Hot water on demand was awesome, bed was very comfortable, very quiet hotel.
