The young French couple at reception when we arrived went above and beyond to help us with a minor medical issue. We are so grateful for their patience and kindness. We loved being able to make our meals in the common kitchen, and thoroughly enjoyed eating outside in the extensive garden. Loved the location and the fact that it’s in a historical village, no cars . The restaurant for evening meals and breakfast were good and there , if you wanted, a bistro for lunchtime. Could watch the magnificent waterfall all day and the views from the top of the cable car fantastic.

It is an interesting "hub", where you can get better value for money for your stay, close to other attractions. But despite that, we do not expect much from the city itself.
