Dauphin is a fairly compact town and it is easy to get anywhere from anywhere else in town in less than ten minutes. There are a few attractions in town such as Fort Dauphin Museum, the Railway Museum. The restaurant scene has a few chains (McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, Mr Mike’s) as well as locally owned places like Adelina’s Pizza, Corinna’s) plus a craft beer tap room (Obsolete Brewery). There is one movie theatre that is community owned and is very modern.
The downside? Most businesses, including most non chain restaurants are closed on Mondays.

There was nothing special about the room but it was clean which is very important, it was not fancy but we enjoyed the stay. This is not the first time we stayed there. The most important thing for me was that it is pet friendly.

Newer hotel in the area.
Newer hotel in the area. At check in we were offered free hot potato soup and fresh popped popcorn to take to our room!! Nice view of a mountain in the horizon from our room. Best unexpected hotel experience yet!

The city of Dauphin is small and offers the necessary basic needs for most! There are some nice decor stores and also couple of good restaurants. We only stayed 1 night! I think it has great people there, friendly and committed to their community!
I was very impressed. Location was central in Dauphin with amenities nearby.
In short, it did what it was supposed to well and everything worked.
TV was clear, air conditioner and other appliances worked and weren't too noisy.
WiFi, though not amazing, was usable for standard def streaming or web browsing. It's amazing how many places skip over having functional WiFi.
Comfy... clean.
I've paid much more for hotels that failed at these basics.
I will stay again.
Overall, my stay at the Sir Edgar House B&B was excellent, including the host's flexibility in accommodating my later check-in. Overall service was friendly and considerate, and breakfast was quite tasty. A recommended stay in the Dauphin area!
This hotel is so underrated... A++ for cleanliness and comfort. It's always a delight to stay here as part of work trip. Also great location to Riding Mountain National Park if you're looking for a weekeng getaway. Really helpful staff too...
