The rooms were very recently renovated and are definitely the classiest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom has a new walk-in shower with a rain shower head. New beds, huge new tvs, usb outlets for charging in multiple locations. The staff are friendly and eager to help.
This Courtenay hotel provides free WiFi and a balcony in each room. Courtenay District Museum and Sid Williams Civic Theatre are 1 km away. A complimentary hot breakfast is available.

We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.

The area is billed Courtney/ Comox and it was the comox area that was most inviting. Scenery, restaurants etc.
Locals Restaurant was probably one of the best restaurants and value we’ve been to in a long time.

Lovely town, incredibly clean and tidy with loads of outdoor activities in the area. We both said we would love to live here. The front desk staff were really helpful and made us feel at home. Thanks guys !
The Garden House is a beautiful place to stay. It's very roomy, comfortable and has a beautiful garden view and access to outside enjoyment. The kitchen has everything one needs but no dishwasher, which is not a problem for us. It also has a washer and dryer. This is a gem in Courtenay. We hope to return one day. We stayed only one night due to our schedule, but will consider a longer stay next time.
The breakfast was good and the servers were friendly and fast. I like how the breakfast was served with a menu to choose from. The first staff that I met probably one of the cleaning ladies was nice and helpful as I was confused where the reception of the hotel was as the sign is quite confusing. Thought of it as the entrance or reception of the pub.
No complications with arrangements/booking, . . . everything was very straightforward. Location was very central, and easy to find. Hosts were very timely and on top of things. Suite was very tidy/clean, beds and bedding were better quality than usual; suite was quiet; our stay was much better than we’d normally experience in a motel or hotel.
Hotel was well located on a main arterial. They honored our request for a top floor room away from the elevator. If traveling with families, there is a very nice pool, spa, and water slide available. The included breakfast was decent in terms of options and quality--not stellar, but good. The front desk staff was very nice--patient and helpful.
Fantastic stay in Courtenay! A great hotrl and a nice room! If we had wished the pool and hot tub were still open. Good parking and a restaurant very close by with excellent food! Beds were comfy and the room quiet and spacious. Very friendly people at the reception, too - thanks, Maria, for the recommendations!
My sister and I were lucky enough to find Garden House unbooked for the entire week we were in Courtenay on family business. It was the perfect “home away from home.” I would have taken the bed home if I could have managed it!😜 Great hosts. Email them if you need anything. They are quick to respond.
Nothing. The property was a 'flop house' ran by a housing organisation and hadn't been used as a hotel for about 2 years. Disgraceful that this property is still being advertised on Booking.com. Even more so, allowing us to pay for it and getting a confirmation and PIN number. Shame on you!!
The hotel was ready for us on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a fridge!! But it didn't have air conditioning, and we were there when it was hot. There were windows that opened as well as a big fan so it all worked out well. Great to have non-smoking room!!
It was the worst breakfast that I’ve ever seen in a motel or hotel. Nothing to eat for a person that is gluten intolerant. The packaged egg muffin was dry and tasteless. Apples mushy. Had a yogurt and went out for breakfast
our whole trip was amazing. I didnt have high expectations as a 2 star but this hotel blew me AWAY! rooms and hotel were extremely clean, breakfast was a hot buffet and not just a continental, staff were very friendly.
Dining room open for lunch and dinner, nice menu, good food and service
Location and closeness to lodge
Close covered parking
Nice room, Comfortable beds, fridge microwave
Proximity to Comox Valley Hospital
The breakfast was excellent, consisting of yogurt, juice, eggs, tomatoe, toast and banana slices. The property is centrally located for both Comox and Courtenay, and has beautiful views of the estuary.
it’s all about location! Entering Courtney you have to pass by even to Comox. restaurants and pubs within walking distance and the River Walk is right there too which is a Must Do to experience the city
Vanessa at the front desk was exceptional. Perfect person to have working in the hotel industry. She was very helpful at getting us checked in early. We truly appreciated this.
The property was in a lovely area, a short drive to downtown Comox. Clean and very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Nice outdoor space, secure and quiet surroundings.
I needed to rent a room as mine had plumbing issues. When I got to hotel I was told they do not rent to locals, leaving me out of a place to stay in the middle of snowstorm
