Travelling to Churchill for work. The hotel is centrally located, a few steps from the store, train station and restaurants. Bill picked us all up from the airport and was so accommodating, communication was excellent. There was a great communal area. Rooms are simple but cosy and comfortable.

Great guesthouse that gives you true value for money in generally overpriced Churchill. Comfortable bed, good breakfast and 5 minutes walk to the "downtown" (if you can call it so). We were also pleased that the host provides transportation to and from the airport.

If you're coming to Churchill in October it's almost certain you're coming to see polar bears. If you're arranging your own trip you won't do better than staying at the Iceberg Inn.
It's small, clean, convenient and Angela & Bill are excellent hosts with fantastic local knowledge and contacts.
A brilliant trip - saw the bears and much more and had a really enjoyable stay.
Can't recommend this place & host enough!

Polar bear sightings and beluga whales.
Unfortunately the Northern Lights didn't play ball on the 2 nights I was there.
Very expensive for food and very limited grocery stores.
There is a community centre with a swimming pool and a great little free museum.

You really have to consider signing up for tours as walking around or driving is not a practical option. There are bear patrols in town but you are strongly advised not to venture out of town on your own or go out after 10 PM. All the tours we took were eco-friendly and well-organized.
Lazy Bear lodge has a very comfortable, though pricy restaurant/cafe.

For anyone who is interested in nature and wildlife or simply curious about life in this isolated arctic town, it’s worth the long, slow journey to visit Churchill at least once in your lifetime; particularly if one is a Manitoban or even other Canadians for that matter. We had the good fortune to see three wonders of nature (polar bears, beluga whales & northern lights) as well as getting to know the friendly locals, and learning first hand about the tremendous history of the town in one visit.

Churchill Manitoba has been on our list for a few years and is a magical place to visit and encounter. The vast tundra surrounding this quaint town huddled up to the great Hudson Bay. Polar Bears were fantastic with multiple sightings over the week we visited. Thanks to Beyond Boreal Expeditions for amazing opportunities to be up close to these fascinating creatures! To get around the town you can walk easily to a variety of restaurants and there is enough variety to keep you happy. Be aware that during Bear Season October and November, the large Bear Viewing Companies take precedent over the times the restaurants are serving and food can take a bit longer to receive once ordered.
Not only can you see Polar Bears in the wild during their migration to the northern ice, there is so much history, with The Prince of Wales Fort and Cape Merry Battery, the former Churchill Army Base and Missile Launch Facility, Miss Piggy Plane Wreck All which you need to take part in. We especially found the Churchill Northern Studies Centre very interesting. This is truly an Outstanding Destination to Visit!!

Great White Bear tour excellent!
Great White Bear tour excellent! Inn owner, town and area tour very informative. Everything I wanted to see within walking distance. Tundra Grill excellent food, reasonably priced. Museum of Inuit carvings and tools, etc. showed lots of history. Excellent gift shop!
The owners of Sarah’s Dream House are very friendly and and caring. They picked our group up from the Churchill train station and dropped us off there’s when we leave. Their story of being first Chinese who settled down in the Churchill was very inspiring. They made us felt as at home, relaxing and comfortable. We will highly suggest our friends to stay here when they visit Churchill for fun!
My answers are based on the fact that we went to a remote, northern Canadian town to see the wildlife, not to have an exceptional hotel experience. The Iceberg Inn was as expected, basic, no frills, but with all the needed basics. It was located in the center of Churchill, so dining or tour operators were an easy walk. Bill & his wife are very nice, and gave us good advise on activities.
Bears Den II is a cozy, comfortable, spotlessly clean place to call home when staying in Churchill. Well appointed with comfortable furniture, very comfy beds and pillows. Dark curtains (helpful if you’re there during the long days of summer!) A thoughtfully and fully equipped kitchen. They really thought of everything! It’s an easy walk into the center of town. Loved my stay!
Sarah and Taylor have a lovely B&B that's about a five minute walk from the main road. The rooms are small, but comfortable enough that we didn't hesitate to stay with them a second time after a previous visit during polar bear season in 2018. All hotels in Churchill are fairly basic, but this is the best of the bunch Highly recommended.
We do not eat breakfast, however there was fresh sconce or other items baked in the morning. So the price reflected this. It was a small hotel with one central hallway leading to the owners quarters. This was nice as you met the other guest and discussed what your plans were and shared experiences and plans.
While the rooms are outdated and small, they are very clean. You have a fridge in your room and a communal microwave near the lobby. The owner, Bill, is extremely friendly and picks you up from the airport (remember to call!). The property is within walking distance to everything as Churchill is pretty small.
The airbnb was really great! Very clean, the main shared kitchen area had everything you could think of, the showers were amazing, the heating system was great, great location, and Roy was extremely helpful and a great host. 100% will booked again if we come back to Churchill.
In a big city this would perhaps be a fairly basic hotel but in a remote place like Churchill it is good. Clean, comfortable and warm. Best of all the owner Bill and has assistant Bram went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and made it a most enjoyable stay.
Brand-new accomodation in Churchill. Dave and Celine was absolutely nice and friendly. Perfect facility including heating and hot water in washroom. They have vast backyard which is the best place in the town to see Northern Light!
4 rooms in a house , the things in common area are free to use. Roy is a nice host who living in near the house. Many information about Churchill is poster in the notice board. Of course you can find Roy for any trip suggestion.
Excellent value for money for Churchill. We were picked up and dropped off at the station by the host. Very handy considering there isn't many taxis in town. Very clean place. Well organised. I would definitely go back.
The location is perfect, just in front of the grocery store and close to the pub and every other attraction in Churchill. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a very nice bath. The WiFi worked well.
We appreciated John Junior, Koral (John JR. Wife), Tristan and Carol - They all make a difference. Location is okay as Churchill is small and easy to walk around to get to places.
Taylor and Sarah are friendly and helpful, took good care of their guests. I also like having a kitchen so that I can make my meals. Eating out in Churchill is expensive!
This hotel is ideally located just a stones throw away from all the amenities. Very clean and comfortable. John and Koral are the best hosts… highly recommend!!!!
Koral was an amazing hostess and a fount of information about Churchill and the area. Although we switched to a tour destination, the Churchill Hotel felt like home.
