My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Eagle Rock Bed and Breakfast, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the host, who made us feel right at home. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was impeccable.
The rooms were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. We particularly appreciated the stunning views from the living-room, which added a touch of tranquility to our stay, we definitely wanted to go back to watch the whales from her windows in the season.
Breakfast was delicious homemade meals, featuring a lots of fresh fruit and nicely served too, healthy ingredients, were a perfect start to the day. The hosts’ culinary skills are truly exceptional.
The location of Eagle Rock Bed and Breakfast is ideal. It offers the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion while still being conveniently close to local attractions and activities. The house was amazing and was stocked with everything, especially the kitchen! Beauty everywhere. The master bedroom bed was beyond comfortable, and the views were amazing!! Love living on the water, hearing the waves, and watching the tides. The deck across the back of the house was incredible.

All common hotel services were available at this hotel. Breakfast was included. Upon an early arrival, staff members offered an invitation to complete needed laundry services while waiting for our room. Laundry self service area was very clean, and included two comfy chairs with a TV for viewing while waiting.
The house was beautiful, and the view as well. We came in winter, and the fireplace was perfect. It has a stocked kitchen and really awesome appliances. Our hostess was very nice and treated us to a bottle of wine for our anniversary. Very relaxing nice stay. I would not recommend the Sawmill Cafe however, that is close by. Rude staff, and we gave it more than one try. I asked the waitress for wine recommendation, and she gave me the worst wine, I had ever tasted in my life. I could not drink it. I went to the bar, and ordered something more acceptable. Then went with another pick from the waitress again. Something different than the first two, and low and behold same awful wine I got the first time. Tasted like someone put liquid smoke in it. I felt they had a very nasty wine they were trying to get rid of. No excuse for that kind of treatment. Other than that very sweet lay back Canadian town, as were neighboring towns. Lovely place.

A very quant and cute village. Great food and cafes, nice selection of shops and very, very friendly people. Feels very clean and safe. Perfect for walking and easy access to the water and small beaches. Add in the murals and the lively arts community and you have a village that I could easily move to.

Chemainus is a lovely town, do not need more than a day but it is a good point to travel from to see surrounding area. Easy walk around. Theater is great, part of the reason we visited. The murals are the highlight. Enjoyed the Indian restaurant (Invitation), heard the Thai restaurant was good, did not get a chance to try.

Convenient place next to the highway, but despite it the room was quiet. Not much space in the room, but for just one night on the road it was ok. Comfy beds, clean bathroom, coffe machine. Restaurant in the neighbourhood (be careful, the portions are huge!), open till 9 PM. The only thing was, that the reception was not open as announced till 10PM, there was a key for us hidden next to the reception, but never mind.

It was great to see the murals again.
It was great to see the murals again. We found a fun street with garden art! First time in Kin Park for a picnic where kids could play. Amazing classical car show in front of Public market. Also browsed the Wednesday market by Water wheel Park. Listened to a great Tuesday evening outdoor concert....every Tuesday evening and Saturday afternoons! In the summer.
We ate suppers at the Sawmill Tap House, once inside, once on the patio?
I chose this delightful property for its location and it didn’t disappoint. It is right across from one of my favourite little beaches on Vancouver Island. The B&B suite is completely separate from the rest of the home and includes a fully equipped kitchen that guests are welcome to use. The host couple were charming and very accommodating and the suite was immaculately clean and very comfortable. It is beautifully decorated and the host’s keen aesthetic sense was evident in small touches everywhere.
Really lovely super-comfortable hotel. A bit pricier than what we usually allow ourselves but good for a bit of luxury now and then. Nice light and spacious feel to the hotel generally, and we loved our room with delightful sitting area and an unusual feature: enclosed space for the bed.
Lovely friendly staff on reception.
Breakfast was one of the best we have encountered in recent times. Staff also gave us gluten-free waffles and bread upon our request.
Beautiful French oceanside-themed room, simple but elegant. Quiet. Great view of the ocean. The owner was very friendly and attentive. They have a stocked games room with pool table, board games, various teas and coffee, a large screen TV and various DVDs. Would be a good place to stay with family or friends. Short drive to Chemainus, beach and various outdoor activities.
This was the surprise of our time on Vancouver Island and I have to say if we had to do it all over again, it would be our "home base" for the entire trip. From the direct access to the ocean for a quick swim to the unbelievable breakfast options that exceeded many larger establishments, the hosts were above and beyond the call of hospitality duty.
Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. Our king bed was amazingly comfortable and our room was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The B & B is right by a short trail to the beach where there is lovely view of Thetis Island. It is a short car ride or a nice walk away from the little town of Chemainus which is always fun to explore.
This is a not-bad location and there are picnic tables and a barbecue on the grounds. It's easy to get to Fuller Lake, the town of Chemainus, north to Nanaimo or south to Duncan. The room I had booked (6 weeks before) was not available, so I was given a refund and we managed to find another place to stay.
Hotel is conveniently located, close to the Theatre and downtown Chemanius. The room was quiet, clean, and modern, and had a refrigerator and K-cup coffee maker. The breakfast was quite comprehensive and featured coffee from a Vancouver Island roaster.
The property was bright, clean and very updated. The TV was on the older side , however we did not watch much of it. Breakfast was good started at 7:00AM , later then most hotels (6:00am) but I would stay again and also recommend it.
Wonderful hospitality and Incredible breakfast! The pebble beach was also right across the road. We couldn’t have found a more perfect Bed & Breakfast and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the Chemainus area.
We needed to stay one night in Chemainus to attend a funeral on Thetis Island the next day. I researched the options and booked at Fuller Lake Motel. Reception was welcoming and it was clean and comfortable. Thanks!
The Location is excellent and the views from the property were really a plus. It's a lovely suite with plenty of room, nicely decorated and comfortable beds. Chemainus is a lovely quirky little town to explore.
The room was big and bright with an awesome sea view. There was a skylight over the bed and at night the stars were awesome. Location was private and quiet. The town Chemainus was a short drive away.
Pet friendly with a nice big field of grass, the bed and bedding was very comfortable, the towels were soft and fresh, the heat worked really well and all the appliances were modern
I have stayed at this property several times as a family member lives in Chemainus. The staff is generally friendly and the breakfast and pool is great.
