Great communication with the host, we never met him, but Cameron seems like a great guy! Loved his book explaining the area, and he worked very hard on that book, and we appreciated his efforts. Check in and check out was super easy. Room far exceeded my expectations. Looked a bit run down in the pictures, but was actually very nice. Location was great, bed was comfortable. Would love to know where Cameron bought the blankets and sheets, would buy them myself. Good sized little fridge. Enjoyed eating out on the veranda.

The location is convenient and close to many tourist spots and recreation facilities. The staff are friendly and help us set up a burner to cook lobsters. Also, the cabin is very spacious as we get a surprise upgrade. The place is clean and well maintained, and the full kitchen comes with all the utensils, including seafood crackers. When we return to PEI next time, we will stay there.

The tourist shops & mini-golf type attractions aside, this is a community rich in history. Check out the Green Gables Heritage Place and take the time to walk the trails and read the museums signs. The Cavendish Beach and National Park offers a wonderful drive along the shoreline. After a day of sight seeing we enjoyed picking up a bottle of local wine and watching the sunrise from the porch of the inn we stayed at.

Gorgeous beach with a mix of white sand and beautiful views of red cliffs. The area includes the Anne of Green Gables Heritage site and the Arglye Park - both can be visited in a day trip. Cavendish beach and surrounding area is definitely worth a visit for a day or 2!

Lots of family fun attractions!
Lots of family fun attractions! We always find something new to do while visiting PEI, but also make a point of visiting our favorite attractions such as the Haunted Mansion in Kensington and the Boardwalk and Sandspit in Cavendish

Everything is very expensive, especially food, no fast food restaurants at all (a McDonald's would of been nice) ended up paying $80 for a very basic pub meal (no drinks) for two adults and one kid.
For a family of three each difference experience was about $100 ( the amusement parks, tourists attractions and such)
Lots to do if you have the money.

The shower stall was a show stopper.
The shower stall was a show stopper. Waaay too small..no place for toiletries..not enough outlets.tv outdated. Couch from the 80s. Needed more outlets or a surge protectors outlet strips. Bed was very comfortable. Colors of kitchen bathroom nice. Place was clean and the kitchen. Was quaint and nice. Mount a modest flat screen on the wall and put a futon w removable, washable covers. The pictures online showed well trimmed grounds and painted cute cottages. When we got there..the grounds were over grown and every building needed painting!!! Yikes. Young woman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We decided to leave after one night as we were too stressed put looking at all the work that needed to be done around the place and shower stall was too challenging to maneuver!!! Probably never get our money back for the 3 days of our reservation I paid for in advance and did not use.

There was a lot to do around this area - especially if you arrived a week or two earlier AND if there hadn’t been a hurricane bearing down on the region!
By September 20 a lot of restaurants and businesses are closed for the season - but then again the Provincial Parks are no longer charging fees! (And with “the warmest ocean waters north of the Carolinas”, my husband even swam in the sea at Sally’s Beach!)
A hurricane of historic proportions (Fiona) was aimed at PEI/maritime Canada, so we had two and a half days of okay weather, during which local folks were preparing for the storm. It was lovely, but as we fled to the Confederation Bridge and mainland ahead of predicted devastation we agreed out hadn’t REALLY been a fair chance to evaluate Prince Edward Island.
Overall we had a really nice stay. It was pretty well organised, and clean. The cottages have everything you need for your stay. The cottage was a good size for our group of 5, and it was handy to have a kitchen, three bedrooms and a living room and tv to hang out in the evenings. The location is great, very close to beaches and activities in Cavendish. The staff were friendly and helpful, including when we had to cancel one night of our stay and ended up under the minimum 3 night requirement - everyone was accommodating and very helpful!
A delightful surprise! Of the 3 places we stayed on our trip to PEI, the Boardwalk Motel was our favourite.
As someone who works in the resort hospitality industry I appreciate all the little things Cameron has done for his guests and for how clean and well kept our room was. I highly recommend for comfort, value, location and to support a hospitality entrepreneur!
Very very good stay! We really like the atmosphere in this area, warm, friendly, just like in a big family. When we arrived, women were chatting on the grass, men were paying baseball on the field. We like the place immediately.
The location is good, too. Just a couple of minutes to drive to the beach, and the green gable.
Location is fantastic. You have to cross the highway (frogger style) and there is a wooded path that takes about 15 minutes to Cavendish beach (if you don't want to drive). I would walk 2 hours through the woods to get to this beach, it is absolutely gorgeous with clear salt water and beautiful soft sand. Loved it!
I liked having a cabin for myself and my family as opposed to a hotel room for pretty much the same price. We were able to cook for ourselves instead of eating out everyday. We saved.money that way. The host was very friendly and the place was very clean and had everything a person needs for their stay.
The location is perfect. It’s close to the national parks and Cavendish stores. The breakfast area is really cute too. With a refundable deposit, you can sigh out a park pass and enter the parks for free.
Very kind staff, quiet/no noise issues despite many families staying at the property, beautiful common park area in the middle of the hotel, perfect location in Cavendish near the beach.
We loved that we were out of the hustle and bustle but still only 10 minutes from Cavendish! It was quiet, there was hardly any traffic on the road and the cabins were very clean!!
