It was a very nice cottage near the sea. The gas fire kept the bedroom nice and toasty. The bed was comfortable. There were kitchen facilities downstairs which we did not use

Bonavista is stunning. We love seeing the puffins at Elliston. We enjoyed the trails at the Dungeon Provincial Park. We even see some whales at shore. We enjoyed the morning visit to The Chimney at Spillars Cove, an UNESCO geosite. Love the seafood (lobster, scallop) there.

Bonavista is a beautiful town with many historical sites to visit and amazing scenery. We had dinner at Skippers restaurant which was great, nice ambiance, and wonderful service. For lunch we ate at the Oceanview - it was located right on the way to the Cape Bonavista lighthouse - good food, great prices, and lovely friendly staff. Bonavista is very easy to navigate and is very walkable with lots of trails. It is also a very convenient place to stay because of its location to other charming villages in the area -like Elliston and Trinity. On my next visit I would like to make my visit longer to allow more time to thoroughly enjoy the natural beauty and local attractions.

People very friendly….it’s Newfoundland !!
People very friendly….it’s Newfoundland !!
Lighthouse a must see. Don’t miss the Puffins at Ellison and Mrs Collins in the store that has everything..
The road to Dungeon is too rough ( enormous potholes) to risk a rental vehicle. Likewise Hwy 237

One night is not enough, we wanted to see as much of Newfoundland as we could, and as such, nowhere did we see all of what we would have loved to see. Were we going to thoroughly explore the area, Russelltown Inn would be the first place we'd look to stay!

Bonavista was beautiful and the people were amazing.
Bonavista was beautiful and the people were amazing.
I had Family history there and the people were very helpful in finding out things about my Family. So much to see in Bonavista. Overall this was a great addition to our trip to Newfoundland.
The cottage was styled so thoroughly and tastefully it felt like you were in someone's home. The kitchen was filled with all the necessities for cooking, and we were even able to do a load of laundry before leaving Bonavista. We would have given it all five stars if the ceilings were just a bit higher in the bedroom so my 6'4"husband wouldn't hit his head everyone he stood.
Aggie was a lovely host! Very approachable, a great cook and really just a lovely woman that made us feel right at home. Everything was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and communication was great. Should be visit Bonavista again, we will definitely book with her again.
Excellent location for the main attractions of Bonavista. Property situated across from the water. Parking for one car on site. Home was beautifully decorated with bedrooms separated by the kitchen and living area. Cafe and pubs within a short distance of the property.
