My friend and I had a fantastic time staying here for our 5 nights in San Pedro. The hotel is in a great location, close enough to town but in a quiet neighborhood where we were able to rest well. The rooms are gorgeously furnished and cozy with a well-equipped kitchenette and spacious bathroom. The room was definitely worth the price and we really enjoyed the restaurants nearby and coming and going on our day trips. Lucinda, Jose, and Miriam are wonderfully kind and made sure we were having a great stay. They perfectly exemplify the friendly, caring, and relaxed spirit of Belize. Would absolutely come back in a heartbeat and hope to again soon.

The initial atmosphere and ambiance was welcoming and beautiful. We were greeted by Dorell at the front desk and he was incredibly helpful and kind. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The dining/bar and pool area was perfect. Our room was clean and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the flower petals left on our bed. Room service daily was great! Staff was accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Food and drinks were great. I recommend the Mexican cocktail, its delicious. Hotel offers complimentary paddle boards and kayaks. We used to Kayaks and it was amazing. This hotel offers the perfect balance of relaxation and luxury.

We loved our cabana on the water, the pool, and the convenience store on site. Very good prices for everything and we chose to utilize their on site golf cart rental company and airport transfer service for a small fee. Very glad we did that and had no stress getting to/from airport or worrying about golf cart hiccups, since the company was right there with us if we needed anything! Concierge was extremely helpful when we had flight issues and the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and fun to talk to all week- great conversation with EVERYONE on site. OH the massages on site were AWESOME, TOO! That was great having on site-

We got the apartment at the most oceanfront. The ocean view is smashing. The apartment is very spacious. It is very convenient with walking distance to the town, many restaurants, and also to the airport. The only downside was one day after a long day of snorkeling, we came back to the apartment and found only trickle water from the water faucets. However the problem was fixed within an hour after I texted the management via whatsapp.

The golf cart fumes were just maddening and the dust in your face as a result.
Finding a patch of sand beach vibes also required going 30-45 minutes away from where I was but it was worth it.
And eat at the Delis.....all the best food I had was there. Every recommendation of a nicer restaurant which only meant aesthetic is was nicer and the food was more.expensive, all those places the food was lackluster.
Everyone should go to the Iguana sanctuary and support!

Great place to be a beach bum!! Rent a golf cart to see much of Ambergris Caye. Go to Secret Beach and eat at a picnic table in the water. Go to Palapas Beach Bar to drink and float in the tubes. The best restaurant on the island is Aji Tapas. The food was always hot and great.Go slow and talk to the wonderful people who live and work there. The Truck Stop was a lot of fun with live miusic and New Haven pizza. I would go back to Ambergris Island to stay at Bella Vista resort for 2 weeks!!.

You you will pretty much be driving exclusively on golf...
You you will pretty much be driving exclusively on golf carts or mopads unless you prefer bicycles. The streets will be bumpy in most parts however, you can never get lost because everything circles back to the main road. Enjoy the people, the food and have a great time.

San Pedro felt like a whole different world from Belize City, and Belize City was a whole different world then where I'm from (Phoenix, AZ, USA). I loved driving around town in the golf cart (golf cart rentals are a must). Many little places to eat. This includes touristy restaurants and small very local places. Locals are very nice and sweet.

San Pedro is worth going to by ferry (San Pedro Express Water Taxi) which takes two hours one way. I would recommend going to San Pedro rather than staying in Belize City because it has everything; all the blue water and great activities and tours.

Caye Ambergris is a lovely, breezy island. San Pedro has numerous restaurants, bars and excursion companies. The barrier reef is relatively close with lots of diving and snorkeling outings available. The islands (Ambergris and Caulker) are fairly expensive for food and drinks. A variety of lodging options are available, which seemed reasonably priced to me.
Location, location, location. Right in the middle of San Pedro, walking distance so you don't need a golf cart to move around (unless you are going to explore the rest of the island). The room is well distributed and the kitchen had everything I needed if I wanted to cook. They provided bottled water which I really appreciated. Amazing sunrises from the balcony. Walking distance everywhere and next to the best ceviche in town :D
Staff really helpful, they helped me to find alternative diving centers with very short notice
The location was great. It was a bit farther away from the noise and bustle of San Pedro but close enough that we could hop on our golf cart and be in town in about 10 minutes. We couldn’t believe our luck that we were in walking distance to the Truck Stop. We spend two nights there enjoying all the activities. Our breakfast each morning was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to go and eat. I highly recommend this property.

Loved the coffee machine in my room. Loved the easy access to trips and tours - thanks again Leroy. Loved the location- it’s just on the edge of the San Pedro mayhem. Loved my little balcony and the feeling that I was literally on a beach. Loved the food - I recommend The Belizean off the dinner menu.
The property was really close to the ferry port which was ideal after a long days travel. In San Pedro you NEED to hire a golf cart to get around and see anything, we rented ours from the hostel and they were the BEST prices by far. Rooms clean, hosts were great. Let us keep the room for an extra hour after check out so we could shower after our snorkel trip. would stay again!
My sister and I spent 5 nights at this great hotel. The grounds are scenic and photogenic. The pools were to great hang out at and the pool bar food was excellent. The staff was so friendly and did a great job to ensure we had a fantastic vacation. (extra thanks to Janelly, Jose and Allen at the front desk). We can’t wait to be back at Coco Beach!
The staff was amazing! The food was amazing! We had a wonderful vacation and the other guests were all very friendly especially because it was a small resort! The rooms were super spacious and the location was pretty central to everything (secret beach & San Pedro town). We loved our stay and will be back to stay here

Portofino is a lovely little resort a bit away from the main town on San Pedro. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The view out onto the beach was glorious, and the pool is also a lovely place to relax. The free breakfast was also plenty to keep us full - would highly recommend the banana muffins!
Shane and owner Jake were very welcoming and helpful. The pier chairs, cushioned loungers and front deck area were very appreciated! The waterfront location is excellent - close to all amenities but still manages to feel removed from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro Town.
We were greeted by the owner, he told us about the history of the building and made us feel very welcome. the hotel has big balconies with big benches for communal space. The linen and the pillows were pure luxury. It is located a few meters from a great coffee shop.
The property is very nice as well as the rooms, but the pool was closed, and they also were cleaning the water from the sea with pumps, it was terrible noisy, not good for vacation and rest. But they charged full prize, without considering the hotel situation
The staff were excellent. The place was beautiful and relaxing, very quiet. Far enough away from the hubbub of San Pedro, but close enough to easily make the trip into town for eating and entertainment.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and in a great location just outside of downtown San Pedro. Christine is so nice and helpful! 10/10 would recommend staying here!
