Most of the iconic sites to see are not too far away, including the beach! The city is generally clean and relatively low cost on transport if you use the local taxi apps; Motorcycles are as many as the population of people!
We only stayed one day so definitely too short to give a complete review. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cotonou and highly recommend it as a tour destination.

Everyone should visit Cotonou, there is a wide variety of local food, the locals are very friendly and I love that when you go shopping, they recommend what is nicer, even if it is cheaper than what you thought you would buy, its museum is also very interesting, as well as the public spaces, with images, people laughing, with their traditions, very cultural.

I went to Songhai Agric set up at PortNovo.
I went to Songhai Agric set up at PortNovo. Nice experience, though not as vibrant as it was about ten years ago when I was there. I ceased the opportunity to visit Cotonue. The unfairly depreciated Naira value made every thing too expensive. I like the simplicity of the people and will visit again when the Naira value normalises.
I would have loved to visit the beach but did not due to the cost. I could not find standard eateries even after roaming with a motorcyclist for over one hour. We reluctantly settled to eat at a very local Nigerian kitchen. I expect standard Restaurants like Mr Bigs

I am truly impressed by the development so far and the pace of further infrastructural development. I stayed by a sea resort and seeing people in particular children come out in the evening for leisure exercise and skating was a joy. I was not harassed nor did I feel threatened in any way. I take my hat off to the government and the people. Well done

Cool and nice environment.
Cool and nice environment. The people were courteous and approachable. A few of them could speak English Language but majority are French speaking. More of Bikes than Cabs. There are many tourist places to visit.
Location: residential upscale neighborhood of Cotonou. Two blocks walk to the restaurants (mostly European, not local). Very close to the airport (3 min by bike) - but far enough that I could not hear a single airplane.
Clean and cozily decorated (especially the bathroom) - it's hard to find boutique hotels in Cotonou and this is one of them. True to the photos.
The pool is clean and very nice for a swim.
The hotel lied about its rooms and rates. When I got there, they told me all rooms are 26 000 and if I cannot pay, I should go away.
They do this because they are using the advantage of the Internet and the tourists most likely not having a choice upon arrival
