Perfect place for both a short and a longer holiday - musts are the Roman forum and at least the nearby history museum and art gallery. The Neolithic dwellings museum is a walking distance away from the centre. The pedestrian and bazaar areas are full of nice cafes and restaurants. There are several beautiful parks in Stara Zagora worth a visit. The city has a pleasant atmosphere and people are friendly and helpful.

I'm guessing people have a specific reason to go there. I had one, which was travelling and performing with the choir I'm in. I really liked Stara Zagora and I would go back again. Lots of parks and green spaces. Lovely cafes and restaurants. Really useful market and shops. Lots of walks to go on. Easy to get to countryside.

I was there for 1 night for business. The hotel is in a horrible place between a building site, a housing estate and behind a damp yard and a dilapidated facade. It looks nothing like on the photo and the proprietors should be fined for deformation. I hwve taken photographs as an evidence. However, I know the booking.com will do nothing to refind my money, so i am not going to fight for my losses. I am a business partner on booking.com and my rooms are impeccable and luxurious compared to this hotel.

Stara Zagora is a very clean city.
Stara Zagora is a very clean city. The city centre is well maintained. The Ayazmoto park is wonderful, with lots of facilities for the kids. A rope garden route for the kids in the park is for free. The zoo is nice, with lots of animals in well maintained cages and yards. People are friendly and helping. You have a feeling of being welcome to Stara Zagora.
The location is excellent. Walking distance to the main pedestrian area with all the shopping and food. Excellent size rooms with balcony. The hotel is 4 stories and there is an elevator. Very clean and well maintained. We didn't see a single bug. The housekeeping lady was very sweet and wouldn't even accept a tip for bringing us extra towels to the room. The whole staff was great. Everyone spoke English. We would absolutely stay again.
This was not our first visit to the Jack Family Hotel, as the location is very convenient for us while travelling across Bulgaria to the Black Sea coast. It is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Stara Zagora, and the rooms are clean. We stayed in the newer cabin-type rooms in the back, which are compact but adequate, with a big Samsung TV.
The hotel also has two high-class clay tennis courts which other guests were using.
Why book in a hotel at a higher price, when you can have a whole, clean and well organized sufficient apartment like that? Friendly and kind hosts, a shopping mall just around the corner, easy and safe parking area in the neighborhood. I am definitely coming back.
Enjoy the beauties of Stara Zagora, forget the rest.
A clean modern hotel in a good location, and despite being very central, the room was quiet. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower is a nice big size. The breakfast was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Would happily stay here again next time I am in Stara Zagora
Big and comfortable hotel in the very center of the city. It s been a real treasure in the past , with spacios lobby and luxury decorations and furniture . Unfortunately bars and restaurants are closed now and furniture needs to be refreshed.. Very nice coffee with the breakfast.
Very nice quiet room with a medium size, big and comfy bed and a bit of an older generation air con for the summer. There is a private parking on the territory of the hotel. Very close to the city center and other places, easy to walk to. Good food choices around the hotel itself.
the most comfortable room we experienced from all our trip to Bulgaria. Tidy room, clean design and excellent bed.
The receptionist are fluent in English, very polite and welcoming. The hotel is modern and well maintained.
