We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Super clean, quiet and comfortable with amazing view from the balcony of our room. The host truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She surprised us with delicious homemade goodies, and brought out various outdoor and indoor games, ensuring our kids had a fantastic time throughout our stay. Perfect base for Seven Rila lakes hike. When I arrived at the hotel it was all closed up and I had to go around the back of the building to be let in. They did not seem to be expecting me. The elderly man in the property did not speak any English. The restaurant was closed and so no food was available, not even breakfast the next morning. When I asked where I could eat, I was told “Centre” with a wave of the hand. There was WiFi signal but no internet connection. When I later asked a young woman about this, she said “There is a problem in the village” and yet I could get internet access without any problem at another hotel 500 m away. A most disappointing experience. Not as described by Booking.com! It’s a “family hotel” but a colder, more unfriendly place you could not imagine.
