The breakfast was very good and the host very welcoming despite us not speaking any french and she speaking very little English - but it went fine. Everything was clean and tidy. There was quite a lot of outside space that looked nice and had the time and weather allowed we could have enjoyed that.

The early prosperity of this industry is reflected in the architecture of the offices and houses in the older parts of the town with interesting hill terraces of late 19c cut stone buildings.
Verviers is serviced by an excellent motorway and rail system and is within an easy twenty minute drive from the famous Spa Francochamps racetrack.
There are many museums close to the town to spend the time if the weather excludes one from sightseeing in the hills and forests nearby.
I liked everything and I left very happy about my stay. The location is excellent for Verviers and of course you can find everything around as well the train station is in a close distance.
The bed was comfortable, the room very warm, a nice balcony, the kitchen was ok so that you can cook, it has a table for work, free parking outside, quite and nice area. Wouldn't hesitate to use again if I travel to Verviers again.
lovely host, comfy room and good breakfast. We made a mistake not knowing it was Frances fathers day that weekend, so despite having reserved diner for the night we missed the hotels update saying this was no longer available, there was a restaurant 20mins walk away which was fine for what we needed.
Hotel Verviers Van Der Valk met all our expectations. We were a group of four people - all senior citizens in our 70's so we wanted convenient on-site parking, and on site restaurant for dinner and breakfast, comfortable rooms and wi-fi connections. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you.
Very friendly owners. This centrally located Hotel is charming and priced fairly. Good on site restaurant also. Beds were confortable and the bathroom also. Nicely decorated rooms.
