Expensive but clean vacation village between Newport and Dunkirk. Good for walk or bike at sea shore - depending on the weather. Relaxing and detoxing from big city stress - still only a few minutes by car to the next town

Koksijde is a terrific Flemish sea town with lots of great shopping, cafe's, restaurants and wonderful deli's. Always plenty organised for visitors throughout the seasons.
Ice cream from the new Italian gelateria "Tutto Gelato Koksijde" is an absolute must! Best ice cream outside of Italy!
It's also a great location for bicycle holidays and you can rent bicycles locally.
Also a great base to explore Veurne, the WWI and WWII War cemeteries or museums in nearby Diksmuide, Ieper and the Somme in France.
It's also only 1 hour's drive form beautiful Brugge.
You can have breakfast in Belgium, lunch in The Netherlands, afternoon tea in Germany and dinner in France, Belgium and the Flemish coast are an ideal location for a European holiday!

This location is best for a long stay & with a small group or extended family. Basic. Communal space, living room & kitchen, quite small in relation to the number of rooms. Beach — main attraction — a few kilometers away. Bringing a car is a necessity.

Very easy to get around in Koksijde : a great Bureau voor Toerisme...
We are not young anymore 62 & 64. But we liked walking on the sandy Beach & in the dunes. We visited also our grandchildren in Izegem.
The staff was amazing! We enjoyed everything about this hotel but most importantly, the staff exceeded our expectations & mine are high. Part of our basketball team stayed here for a tournament, We had to leave early each morning for the games which caused us to miss breakfast. Without asking, the staff served breakfast an hour earlier to feed us & our kids before their game. I can't thank them enough. The location was perfect, rooms were nice & cozy! We will stay here again!
We very much enjoyed or stay at Home Hoge Blekker. The house is located in a very calm environment. It is very clean, very luminous and nicely decorated. The back yard is fabulous with lots of cosy seats and a table in the sun. The host is very kind and generous. The location of the house near the Blekker natural park and only 15 min pleasant walking from the beach makes it a very good choice for a very restful stay in Koksijde.
Very happy to have found a hotel with a swimming pool. We went twice, at 6pm the first day with a few people present and the last morning at 8am where we had to pool to ourselves. Large bathroom and entry with closet and suitcase rack.... The restaurant (Bistro Apostroff) was also very good. The location, quiet street only 500m from the sea was also excellent.
we re a couple with our 2 years old daughter, came to Koksijde for a weekend. The apartment’s location is really great with all the facilities around and you have the amazing view from the window. The owner is just so nice , thank you to make our staying easy and comfortable:) !

The location was ideal as we'd booked the accommodation for the Koksijde Cyclo-cross event and we could easily walk to and from the event. The accommodation was clean and had everything you needed in terms of kitchen equipment etc.
The flat is very nice and light; on a very good location.

The parking in the garage is also a big plus.

Fully equipped kitchen. spacious living room with sliding doors, lots of light and great view overlooking Koksijde. seating area on both terraces with nice lounge area and cosy sunbeds. Good shower. Good Wifi.
