A lot of fake apartments in booking.com
When you arrived they said your apartment has something wrong we couldn’t give you the same one, after that they say this option available only and its too dirty and difficult and they force you to request to cancel the booking confirmation so you can’t add review.
So a lot of fraud apartments options.

1. The hotel industry is full of fraudsters. We had worst experience with several room bookings. They make the booking and cancel themselves without information or citing stupid reasons.
2. Traffic is horrible. People drive like crazy with complete disregard to traffic regulations. Police is looking for tourist to catch them and take money from visitors. We paid 2 times to police in 4 days of stay minimum 100 manat.
3. Roads are horrible. Rod to Gabala is under construction.
4. Tourist Sites are ok but not exceptional

Baku is a city that blends Eastern and Western architecture and traditions. There you can experience the charm of the medieval city (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and enjoy the streets of central Baku, reminiscent of Lisbon and Paris.
Azerbaijan offers attractions and activities nearly year-round.
The country is very safe, it’s one of the safest tourist destinations in the world. While the majority of the population adheres to Islam, Azerbaijan is home to many religious denominations, and society is secular.
In general Azerbaijan has a rich history and unique cultural heritage. Experience the soul of Azerbaijan through its folk traditions, cuisine and interactions with the inhabitants of highland villages.

Baku is a very beautiful city in the Caspian sea. The city center known as Targovu has a very clean street and full of nice Russian imperial architecture. Targovu is close to the Caspian coast or old city. I would recommend a stay of maximum 4 days in Baku.

Beautiful city next to the Caspian sea with nice walking boulevard next to the sea. Lively city with plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs. The old city is part of UNESCO heritage sites and is worthwhile the visit.
Hotel staff especially Bayram and Turan are so courteous, welcoming and friendly. Bayram helped us to book Uber twice. Hotel is spacious and very close to city center. It's just 15 minutes walk to Nezami street old Baku. Hotel is surrounded by nice local and international restaurants mainly fast food. However, you may find plenty of restaurants in Nezami street.
Breakfast was so delicious especially loved Azarbaijan cake.
The hostel is very clean and fresh, I had a great pleasure to spend a night there. the hostel is situated in a beautiful location in the city centre so it was easy to reach all the main places of interest. the owner of this hotel is a very kind and caring person, he made me feel cozy and comfortable like home and I appreciate it a lot!!! next time in Baku I will certainly choose this hostel to stay
The merchant Baku located in the TOP location. 3 mins walking to old city, restaurant is located on Torgovaya. Nice breakfast, room is very big, very nice big and clean shower.
Very friendly team ( both in the hotel and restaurant).
Amazing food and service.
I would highly recommend The merchant Baku. It is my second stay and most probably will stay there next year during expo again.
Everything was exceptional, I would like to appreciate Ms Zahra & Mr Sheheryaar for their kindness & support in all the matters related to check in. The staff was very helpful. Our sea view Room was clean & spacious. No hotel in Baku can give you such marvelous view of boulevard Sea. All the services were 5 star. Fairmont would be my only option whenever I come back to Baku. Thank You.
staff are so nice and helpful. If you have any requests or problems, they take care of you immediately. When you ask for things like towels, they bring them right away. housekeeper lady was so nice. hotel is very central. When you leave the hotel and walk straight ahead, there is a beautiful library. (Baku book centers are amazing.) Then, in 10 minutes you reach the old city.
Good hotel, rather new, the best in this price range in Baku (this is the 5th I tried). I already booked this hotel for my next trip. Room OK, all needed amenities and in good functioning order. Breakfast with a variety of dishes that you find in more expensive hotels. 3 min. walk to the metro station and 25 minutes walk to the city center. Excellent staff, English speakers.
Perfectly located in the center of Baku next to old city, Nizami, and the Caspian Sea. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel and its rooms are spacious, luxurious, and clean. The breakfast was good and the dining area was so elegant and full of natural light. It was a comfortable place with all amenities included and we would definitely consider coming back again.
The location is a bit far, its could be counted as both the good and bad part about this hotel.
Good so that its away from the city centre traffic / crowd. Bad that it takes a bit of time to get to the city. However you can easily get taxis/ bolts for for less than 5 USD to the city.
The rooms are VERY spacious. The breakfast is not the best but its okay.
Outstanding location in the Baku Old City, huge rooms, very clean and comfortable. The desk staff were friendly and very helpful - special shoutout to Orkhan & Valid. They helped with a SIM card issue I had and very kindly called ahead to Sheki to book a room for me at the Caravansari Hotel (that you cannot book online). Highly recommended!
Maksim hotel is the best place to stay in baku old city area...very neat and clean room.Mr.Ali ,Mr.Alvin and Manager lady Waleeda was so great..I stayed there just for 6 nights ..and this is my Wonderful experience..the maksim hotel is situated in ideal location ...very neat from nizami street and baku boulevard by walk...
I love the vibe of this hotel, So calm and relaxing. Feels like a home to me. I spend like 6 nights with my family and we have every possible facility here. If you are good at walking and love to walk, then you can go to any popular places in Baku on foot including the old city, Deniz Mall, Nizami Street, and all.
The bed and the pillows were really comfortable. The room was spacious and nice. The toilet was good too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection was great. The hotel was within walking distance from the beach side and also the city centre. The old city was within 20-30 minutes walk.
The hotel is nice and affordable location is close to city center and other touristic places,Calm and not noisy street.Very Helpful staff. In first floor have restaurant and Pub,you can have a dinner, watch to football, listen live music performance,It had very tasty meals and good staff
The location is perfect for tourists, even for first time travelers to Baku. Old city is walking distance and so are resturants and center of the city. It's not a luxury hotel, neither a very new facility. Overall good.
The complimentary breakfast was very good.
The only positive I found with this hotel was the location as it was in the heart of Old City Baku and right next to the Metro. Also, a very good walking distance to some very nice restaurants. And, the fire towers can easily be viewed from this distance.
It was an amazing stay at the Promennlade Hotel in Baku! Excellent services and hospitality, great connect to the Old city, Boulevard, and Nizami Street. Bonus was the Rooftop to chill and enjoy with live music 🎶
Amazing vibe amazing staff amazing views the lobby was fabulous and their brake fast is so great i have went all 5 star hotels in baku, this was my final decision to stay in.
