This hotel is open 24/7, is located directly on the highway rest stop with free parking and more or less borders one of the lakes. It is perfect for people looking for a quick rest on a long drive. There's a convenience store right there too. It is not a fancy hotel by any means, but perfect for what it is advertised for. The staff is very welcoming and nice - I arrived here at midnight and was accommodated very well.

The hotel is beautiful, full of art and set on a stunning lake. The property is immaculate, the service impeccable and the food delicious. They have an amazing pastry chef and wonderful breakfasts. Our room was very comfortable, huge bathroom, gorgeous views and terrace. The spa was wonderful too!

Spacious, modern, clean clean clean. Cozy, comfy, big screen TV, mini fridge, nice view, big curtains large window. There was even a small fan for the warm night.
The shower is large with strong water.
Toilet is modern and clean love it.
Extra towles! There are like 5 different towles + towel for the lake + robe! Amazing.

Really good coffee machine, juices, lots of variaty with the sausages, cheese, veggies, sauces.

We really like the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains around the lake. Lots of hiking trails available so it's good for those who want to go for a bit outdoor.
If you are there, you have must visit Minimundus and Pyramidkogel (don't miss the slide from the top).
We were in the middle of February, and unfortunately most of the restaurants were closed, in the evening (arrount 7-8 pm) the streets are empty, only a few bars were open.
It was a shame that in Minimundos most of the buildings were covered with some protective stuff, so it was less enjoyable.

Perfectly located on the Worthersee! The dock had plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas and stairs to get into the lake. It DOES have air conditioning, which was nice as temperatures were in the 90’s. A beautiful hotel. The hotel gave us 1 room instead of 2, but made it right and we stayed in a suite for the first night. It also sits on the boardwalk which made a nice walk each evening. I would love to come back here.
Exceptionally friendly hosts (Barry & Sigrid), good coffee & breakfast, 5 min (400m) walk from Pörtschach/Wörthersee train station (every 30 min S-train to Klagenfurt, 20 min), parking just outside the building, small balcony for each room, small garden in front. Very close to Edelweissbad (lake). If you stay at least one night in a hotel etc. in Kärnten, you can use ÖBB regional & S-train for free during your stay :-)
Everything. The hotel staff is super nett! we had a Lakeview room! only 5 min walk to the nearest free swimming area. There is also a train station nearby. With a car, one can reach 2 supermarkets in 5min. And most important of all for us it is pet friendly :) We even got surprise gifts from the owner of the hotel. just feel at home!

Very comfortable hotel with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Every detail has been thought through. We have never met such a hospitable family (hotel owners) anywhere. Hotel has its personal access to the lake - it is very important for a comfortable stay on any lake in Carinthia.
If you come once you will return with practically 100%.
The view from the balcony was fantastic! The apartment was big, comfortable. Location of the apartmenthotel was very good for us, close to highway, to main road, to Hofer, and nevertheless very quiet and calm place. There was a park in front of the building, good place for children, and a playroom too, when the weather is not so good.

Hotel Leonstain is located within old medvieval castle so it makes that staying there is an unforgotable experience.

Bautiful hotel with amazing, high qulity facilities! Christmas decor and outside advent market are reasons to visit in the winter. Bar and spa are brilliant and there is just no reason to go anywhere else whilst staying in this hotel. Staff are kind and super nice
Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and did not get boring after a few mornings. Something for everyone from our 2 year old to us. The location is amazing and lakes access beautiful. The resort staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English and Austrian usually.
The hotel was beautiful, had several sauna options and the infinity pool was amazing. The snow room was very unique! The bar tenders, especially Louis, were top notch and would come back to that hotel for them specially. Golf course discounts were an added bonus.
