Nothing. The trip to the property was abandoned when we were travelling in the direction of the property. We were informed that an error had been made with the booking when we contacted the property regarding our arrival time and more specific directions.
We urgently obtained an alternative booking which required travelling additional hours in an entirely different direction.
The local agent from Booking.com provided excellent service in assisting us with the cancellation of the booking.
In our discussions with the local agent we were promised compensation for the inconvenience caused and the subsequent additional cost.
Despite my sending feedback to Booking.com on the relevant web site tools we have received no further contact from Booking.com. Unfortunately this is not the first occasion when the central administration of Booking.com has failed to follow up regarding customer complaints.
