To discover the Valdes Peninsula properly, one needs to spend 2-3 nights in Puerto Pirámides. The Paradise hotel is located on the higher, quiet part of the village, further away from the arrival of the big busses, with a nice view to the sea (at least from the suite we booked). The suite was clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed and the staff was very nice. One needs to be aware, this is a location in a half-desert area, in the middle of a National Park - for more luxurious hotels one should stay in Puerto Madryn. But we were very happy with our choice to stay in The Paradise hotel.
With its prime location on the beach, just 50 metres from Ballenas Avenue in Puerto Pirámides, Las Restingas Hotel De Mar features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking.

Del Nomade is a really excellent hotel. The bed was large and very comfortable and the whole hotel was clean, quiet and everyone is really friendly. The homemade food was also excellent. They were really responsive to messages before we arrived and helped us a book a trip with a local guide for the day who was absolutely phenomenal - very much recommend booking a tour with Carina if you can, we learned so much. We hope to visit again! Thank you!

The owners are both very friendly and helpful. We interacted more with Normis, who gave us some great advice and contacts for visiting the peninsula. The apartment is excellent value for money compared with other accommodation in Piramides and was kept very clean! Also, having a kitchen allowed us to save some money by cooking.

There’s sufficient easy parking. A gym on site and loads of sitting out areas around the property and even a bench at the back of each little hut. The owner is really nice and so helpful, she even brought us warm freshly cooked cake!! The room is a little on the small side but very clean and has everything you need, even a kettle and heater and loads of extra blankets. The town is unspoilt and really is an amazing place.

It is quiet season so I had whole dorm and bathroom to myself. Beds were great. Bathroom great and clean. Staff friendly. Tiny town so easy to walk to anywhere. Seems to be very big.Well equipped kitchen. Great price for Puerto Pyramides.
Only 20 metres from the beach Goos offers practical rooms with satellite TV. Snorkelling trips can be arranged and Puerto Madryn bus terminal station is an hour 15’ drive.
Situated in Puerto Pirámides, Casa Finisterre is 150 metres from the New Gulf bitches. San Jose gulf is 32 km from the property. Casa Finisterre also includes a barbecue.
Amazing location that is well worth the travel! Lots of people stay in Puerto Madryn instead of this little town as they make their day trips into the national park. That is a huge mistake. This town arguably has the most homely feeling vibe of any town I’ve been to so far in South America. Feels so cute and all of the locals know each other. Walking down the street you feel like you’ve slipped into their sleepy town lives and it’s an amazing break from the fast paced travel I am used to. This coupled with the amazing/diverse wildlife, fantastic local food/drink, abundance of activities, beach at your doorstep and spectacular landscapes surrounding the towns make it one of the most memorable places I have ever travelled to. Please don’t miss this town!

Puerto Pirámides is the only village/town on the Peninsula...
Puerto Pirámides is the only village/town on the Peninsula Valdes with hotels, a few restaurants, a gas station, WiFi and where the whale watching boats depart from. The place offers everything you need for a stay of 3-4 days as a base for the tours, also a beautiful stretch of beach and gives you already the feeling of being close to nature - at least in the morning before dozens of buses with tourists arrive for the boat tours and from late afternoon after the last buses have returned to Puerto Madryn. We were there mid November, at the end of the whale season, it might be a completely different place from December until June, outside of the whale season, for sure with much less buses for the day tours.

Such a cute place, safe and friendly, we were very lucky...
Such a cute place, safe and friendly, we were very lucky with the weather and with seeing wildlife, even a rather rare owl! Bottazzi is the best whale watching company, we were very lucky to meet two amazing volunteers who collect data on whales and taught us so much about these fascinating animals and much more!

Veronique was a really lovely and helpful person, and responds very quickly to messages. The location of the house right in the center and next to the bakery and at easy walking distance of all restaurants and excursions, it's the best place to be in Puerto piramides. And the warmth of its atmosphere is just perfect, it feels like a home in another place on the earth. And everything smelt really nice, the blankets smelt like freshly washed.

We only spent one night in Puerto Pirámides to be able to catch an early whale watching cruise. Our stay was flawless. The host was great and helped us to know which parts of the peninsula were open, and which ones were closed, in a very gloomy day. He also recommended some good restaurants in the village
Kako is a beautiful person, he picked us up in Puerto Madryn and organized our short stay in Pirámides with friendship and lovingness. You will enjoy your stay there for sure !
