The host was extremely helpful, messaging with me until 11pm in the evening to assist me with deciding what hike to do the next day. They were very responsive on whatsapp when we had questions or our plans changed. Make sure you read the emails beforehand :) - we missed the crucial one that said sheets not included, but the host managed to help us out last minute. Very quiet hotel and surrounding area (but we were there in summer, might be a bit busier in winter for skiing). It is about a 10-15min drive from Aconcagua park entrance and we had a rental car so the location was good for us.

Very nice place. We got there late but they made us dinner and it was quite amazing.
Only 8.5 km from Cristo Redentor, Portezuelo del Viento - Hostel de Montaña has cozy dorm rooms with wood furnishings.

Keeping in mind it is a mountain hostel and not a 5 star hotel. It has been excellent and the two managers really love their activity and provided an excellent "lentils' stew"
