Great location, with valet parking at 5 euro/night, so a really easy check-in! We'd booked a superior room which was gorgeous - great bed size, well furnished, large bathroom with bath and separate shower, and also access to an outside terrace. Breakfast options were plentiful in the buffet, with an omelette option, as well as speciality coffees. The spa was fabulous and really makes the hotel stand out. One of the best massages ever (from Lima!). Restaurants, cafes and shops were just outside of the hotel - the whole district has a great vibe - and the major sights were not more than a 5-10 minute walk away.

pool was very good and not overly busy, it was great for keeping you cool.
location was a little out but the area around the hotel had everything you could want, its a very clean area given all the government buildings and there are some lovely places to walk, the street behind the hotel housed numerous bars and restaurants.

There is one category missing from the list of options that "What would you would recommend Tirana for?" - that of "traffic" and "traffic jams".
If you love traffic jams and enjoy queuing, then Tirana is the place for you!! - otherwise you will not enjoy your driving in Tirana (disorganised chaos seems an appropriate description).
The main attractions in Tirana are all located around the Skanderbeg Square. Apart from the 'new' Bazaar, they can all be visited in about one hour on foot without any great difficulty - the new Bazaar (well presented, clean and located in a pedestrian zone) is just a little further away, but is well worth visiting.

Tirana is a very good choice for a stay with good prices, great food, friendly people with beautiful mountains and nice emerging architecture a short drive from the sea. We also recommend the view from the Sky club. A few restaurants take cards including supermarkets, you can also pay by card on the bus to and from the airport, otherwise cash on public transport. Tirana and Albania has a lot of tourist potential, it is better to visit as soon as possible:)

I found Tirana to be a wonderful, very interesting city. Skanderbeg Square was very impressive and was surrounded by a number of interesting sites and museums.
The Dajti express cable car is a must for anyone visiting Tirana and the views of Tirana from the top of it are stunning. It was a very pleasant experience eating lunch at the Dajti Balcony restaurant whilst looking at the city of Tirana sprawled below.
As my stay in Tirana was so short, I didn't have chance to experience too many eateries, but would definitely recommend the Oda Gardens restaurant. The food here was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly too.

Tirana is an interesting city with a diverse mix of people. Don't miss a short trip to Durres, where you can enjoy the sea. Additionally, Kuja Castle is a beautiful visiting point. Exploring the bunkers in Tirana will give you a unique experience of the country's communist history. Lastly, be sure to enjoy the most delicious dessert: kunefe

Tirana is full of wonders.
Tirana is full of wonders. People are kind, attractions are many, prices are reasonable. I met a fantastic painter Mehmut who sells his work and we had a long talk about the communist era. The Museum of Leaves is a must as is the Bunker tour. Walking around the area you find all you need, cafes, people speak English, easy to strike up conversations. I loved my stay there and would go again.

Most guides recommend spending 1 or 2 days in Tirana, but this is not long enough. We spent 5 days there, mainly wondering around and stumbling across interesting things. You need 5 days to explore BunkArt 1 and 2, the cable car up the mountain, House of Leaves, he Pyramid, Hoxa's house and the Block, Center for Openness and Dialogue, Tirana Park, the Checkpoint, and the restaurants and bars, a walking tour...and just wandering around looking at hings.
A new hotel in the heart of Tirana, on the main boulevard of the city, in the vicinity of the Prime Minister's Office and facing the President's Office, just 6-7 minutes' walk away from the Main Square (Skanderbeg Square). Very hight quality 5-star hotel, with spacious and clean rooms, good sound isolation (street noise is completely excluded), strong WiFi, good air conditioning, big and nice garden with pool, as well as very kind and responsive staff. Breakfast is also superb.
Amazing Hotel situated in private residential area (u can access free telling to the security man at the entrance that u have a reservation at the Hotel), in my opinion one of the best Hotel in Europe and the best one in Albania.
The permanent in the hotel is like an experience that u must have to try.
Room with an amazing design and view on the city; incredible rooftop with restaurant and swimming pool; private parking lot; very quiet area.
We enjoyed staying at Mercure. The rooms are clean, well equipped and modern. The house keeping staff do an exceptional job. The receptionists were very helpful too. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good deal a few miles from Tirana city center. The hotel is also close to main road so you can easily get transport to the city centre.
Good location (city centre is at walkable distance) and very good choice of typical Albanian restaurants in 10 mins walk range. Hotel is new and rooms are large. Staff young and kind.
