We booked the room with Jacuzzi and it was amazing! Really great jacuzzi (with headrest pillows), huge room, beautifully decorated, very confortable.
Also I cannot recommend the restaurant enough! You have to go there. Spectacular food, I would say bistronomic cuisine, we went 3 times in 3 days.
Breakfast was in another restaurant next to the hotel and it was very nice too.
In the hotel, there were so kind as to keep our luggage for 3 days while we did the Shkodër-Valbona-Theth-Shokdër tour (we were hiking from Valbona to Theth and couldn't take our suitcase with us). Thank you again!

We enjoyed the Lake Komani ferry ride with its stunning scenery and historic significance although the mini-van ride was bone-jarring where the road was rutted. Many people were using the ferry to get to hiking opportunities. The pedestrian plaza just around the block was very pleasant, and we found the photography museum fascinating. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the sights. We did not ascend to the castle--my wife says she's climbed up to enough castles in her life. The food at Vila Bekteshi was bountiful, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. Wish we had skipped the one meal we had at the Hotel Tradita. Overpriced, overcooked--pushy waiter.

Shkoder is a great place.
Shkoder is a great place. It is not a tourist theme park but a real city. The pedestrianised streets with their bars, cafes and restaurants are very pleasant. There is a great atmosphere. Full of people having a good time, which is nice to see. There are lots of reminders of Albania's communist past, and several eloquent monuments to it. As a post-Communist place, Shkoder is very interesting indeed and the museum which shows you the detention cells is not to be missed. Nor are the churches which were converted to sports halls; the diocesan museum is small but fascinating. There are a lot of shabby even ruined buildings some of which are being done up; but that is living history for you.

Interesting place in Albania, Shkoder is a medium sized city, modest but with a lovely and lively historical center full of tourists. As a particularity, the people from Shkoder bike everywhere, I don't believe I have seen so many locals biking since The Netherlands. There are not many supermarkets and those there are medium sized with a poor variety of foods and goods. On the other hand the bakeries are great with many options and also the fruit in the street ofer a nice variety. We were able to pay in euros in 95% of places. The trafic is hell, like in the rest of the country. We chose Shkoder for 2 nights because we made a one day trip to Teth and also a one day trip to Komani Lake + Shala River, and Shkoder offers acces to both destinations.

Lovely city, with a cafe bar atmposphere. Everyone is so friendly and do their best with English speaking to help. There is a relaxed feel to the city and nobody seems stressed out and in a rush.
The castle is well worth the visit and has stunning views. THe lake is also lovely to visit.
It is also cheap and better to eat out to enjoy the experience than staying in.

Great historic old town with atmosphere, shopping, and restaurants. The rest of the city is typical, and has all amenities. Very tasty restaurants in the area. Lots of transportation options to get you to the mountains, or neighbouring countries.
I like everything about the hotel its really a hidden gem in shkoder city I highly recommend it , its very clean and perfect location just around the Main Street and bus station from tirana , the reception was more than helpful they really help you with their heart its a family business so its aplus olso they arranged us with a very nice trip to theth with gue name zef he was also cheerful and calm
And olso we mange to have the great heart of shkoder through this hotel

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed at in Albania. The overall feeling is great, with each bed having its own bedside lamp and curtain for privacy. The location is convenient to both the bus station and the city center. The hostel owner helped us arrange everything for our hike transportation to Theth and from Valbona back to Shkodër. He is very friendly and helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions. Highly recommended. I stayed here twice and will definitely come back again next time.
this is an excellent apartment.
1. the view is great. on a 9th floor looking down the whole city and mountains, feels great.
2. the place is very clean and very organized in great details.
3. the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to call it a home.
4. the bathroom has a separate shower which is rare in Albania and awesome. If the shower curtain were 5 cm longer to completely block the water leaking it would be even better.
I low key enjoyed everything. The only problem I experienced was finding the location, but you should look for blue gates, they’re the only ones in the street. Internet was alright, facilities were clean and proper etc. Generally speaking, Shkoder somehow seemed the only place in Albania I enjoy to the highest extent. Shkoder is a smaller town than the rest I’ve been to in Albania and yet somehow I met more cheerful people 😁

Hotel even washed some of our clothes - very nice of them as this is not a typical service.
Clean room and big beds. Breakfast was simple but great. Liked that the scrambled eggs were actually eggs (our hotel in Albania, so might be like this everywhere) and not the industrial stuff in western buffets. Really friendly and nice staff. We booked a trip to Lake Komani beforehand, but they were ready to help if you haven’t planned or booked your outgoing trips before coming to Shkoder.

They have incredible taste in decor, that brings you into Albanian culture and history. As avid cyclists we particularly appreciate the collection of antique bikes from around the world, including tandems! Amazing breakfast! Very friendly staff! When our room was small and noisy they quickly changed it and upgraded to a larger, beautiful room.
very nice place, close to the sea - as we were there in a low season, and the weather was bad, so we did not use the beach. the hotel is worth recommendation, clean bed, comfortable beds. very open and helpful owners. place for the car was at the hotel. for us it was the best choice to travel in the Albanian mountains.

This hotel is right on the promenade for the best restaurants and people watching! It has great stuff and cold buffet breakfast with wonderful cappuccino! We had the room upstairs with a window allowed for fresh air but privacy! I would return to this hotel if I was ever in Shkodër again!

Shkodër wasn’t my favourite city in Albania- to be honest, it was too loud for me. But Legjenda was everything I could ask for. Absolute peace, pool for relax, even restaurant so you don’t have to go anywhere. Best place for peaceful rest
