Seia
Located in Seia, Chao do Rio - Turismo de Aldeia features rustic homes, as well as an outdoor biologic swimming pool and free bicycles. The traditional stone-built units are inserted in natural surroundings which include a garden and a flock of sheep. In 2 words.. A dream! So much thought has been given to details. The house is spotless! The breakfast basket is an amazing touch. We were supposed to travel throughout the area and ended up not wanting to leave the premise! A true gem.
Manteigas
Situated in Serra da Estrela Nature Park’s mountains, this design hotel offers mountain-view rooms with amenities including an LCD TV. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Casa das Penhas Douradas’ wood-paneled rooms feature large picture windows and a furnished veranda with mountain views. Each is equipped with a satellite TV. Connected rooms for families are available upon request.
Staff and Service. Top notch where nothing is too much trouble. Everyone has a smile and the overall vibe is delightful. There was an issue with WiFi in my room and it was responded to quickly and effectively.
Food. Absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu at 40 Euros is a bargain... apertif, amuse boche, breads, starter, soup, main, dessert, and coffee. The food is well prepared and the portions are ample. I note the size of portions is much better than a previous stay seven years ago.
Room. I stayed in the suite and love its ambience.
Snacks. From 4 PM to 6 PM there is a selection of snacks... sweet and savory. They are diverse and change every day.
Covilhã

The best view on the mountains, amazing design of the hotel, stars at night, water-pools, jacuzzi, delicious breakfasts and evening meals.
Good location with beautiful view. Modern design inside and the full equipment. Lovely breakfast served directly to your room: omelette, fresh bread, cheese and ham, fruits, different kinds of jams, cake, coffee, milk and juice. Very nice service.
Loved absolutely everything, the place is gorgeous, recently renovated, great taste very original distribution and design. Loved all the details from the moment we arrived including the wine and food. Extremely clean. Everything was fantastic. There is also parking right beside the place.
Very well designed and effective use of space for a one-bedroom studio type apartment. Lovely views from the 4th floor and in an excellent location. The management is friendly and accommodating.
We received the most warm and friendly welcome to this gorgeous house which has been designed with an eye for style-its very subtle but we noticed it. From colour choices, to logo design and design in the rooms. Big comfortable bed, a little balcony, the tiny bar and the lovely pool in the perfect position to enjoy a magnificent sunset over Seia. Breakfast was good too. Its a really lovely place-we'd definitely stay here again

Cozy and beautifully designed property with exceptionally warm hosts. Joaquim and his son Joaquim Jr were incredibly graceful, and helpful, right down to driving on very short notice into town to help us with an issue with our car. The town is lovely, the region is stunning, and it was a pity we only had two nights there - we will be back.
The house is situated in a stunning location with beautiful views over the valley and town of Manteigas. The property itself was designed by a Portuguese architect in a very stylish design that combined a Nordic style with Portugal mountain living.
