The location was exceptional, close to so many sights for tourists, restaurants, shops, etc. The breakfast was great...I loved the selection of Indian breakfasts, while my husband ate his usual continental breakfast and eggs. Our room was on the 4th floor, was clean, comfortable, close to the elevator. It's size was more than sufficient for the 2 of us who just wanted to lay our heads in a clean bed after doing a day full of activities. It had a kettle for coffee & tea and a fridge to keep our bottled water chilled.

The hotel is located 1 km from Mumbai’s famous Fort area, 4.2 km from Nariman Point and 5 km from Colaba Causway. Transport hubs in the area include the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus which is 1 km away and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which is 22 km away. I've reviewed this property several times now, but let me add a few more thoughts. In terms of value, one would be hard pressed to find a better property in south Mumbai. The staff are excellent, and the manager runs the property with the client top of mind. I've stayed there twice and if/when I return to Mumbai, I will stay there again. In my opinion, it's worth the extra money to arrange a deluxe room as they are much larger and also have windows. Also, do not be afraid to get out and walk the area. Cabs are really not necessary. The Crawford market, the Gateway to India, the Train station and all of the important buildings are within walking distance of the Elphinstone.
